Doubletree Metropolitan Hotel New York City - 纽约

Understanding that NYC hotel rates are high overall, I think that given the location and general quality of the hotel, if you are looking for a decent quality hotel that is centrally located, I would definetly recommend this place to others.

The location was perfect, located right next a metro station.

Well located, location of hotel was ideal right in the middle of down town Manhatton and the staff were very helpful we needed any information.

For those who do not like to walk, there are 2 subway stations right outside the door of the hotel and plenty of taxis pass by on the street.

We ended up paying more for the taxi and although we made our flight I would suggest if staying here do not leave your airport transportation in the hands of this hotel!

The king bed room was fine for one person and would have been OK for two, but the bathroom is small - although the bath itself is big and the shower was hot and powerful.

The room was clean, very large compared to other rooms in manhatten hotels, with cool furniture, flat panel tv, and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel.

The room was spacious (for a Manhattan hotel in this price range), clean, well-decorated, modern bath fixtures, the bed was VERY comfortable, nice flat screen tv, great massaging showerhead.

Our room was very nice, it had a nice plasma tv, a very big comfortable bed and a new bathroom.

Used the lobby bar which was fine but didnt eat there so can't comment - we tried the Oxford for breakfast where the staff were tremendous, the food ok, and Raffles where the staff were ok but the food better!

The hotel restaurant was very expensive so we didnt eat there- the cafe next door does a very resonably priced breakfast which was delicious!

Convenient to breakfast and lunch restaurants and walking distance to many more great restaurants.

There is a bar that is nice right off the lobby and a restaurant (we didn't eat there but it smelled nice!

The location was very handy for the subway and there was a nice deli for coffee etc in the morning just down the road, especially as the hotel only had an expensive restaurant for a sit down breakfast!

Within walking distance to time square, front desk staff friendly and helpful, there should be room service available till late.

First, most of the front desk staff we dealt with were brusque and unhelpful (the exception was the supervisor who dealt with some problems with our bill on check-out; he was very service-oriented and professional).

At 4am the parking garage across the street starts moving cars via their elevator and all sleeping stops.

We had to go around the block again (no mean feat in mid-town weekday traffic), go directly to the parking garage, then schlep our luggage on foot to the lobby, about 1/2 a block.

He took me aside in the elevator lobby, asked me what was wrong, and then took my bill to the same manager that told me no comp.

Also, wired internet is available in the room at a charge, but what isn't advertised is that there is wireless internet available in the lobby, you need to get the passcode from the check in staff each day.

The high-speed internet access was about $11 per 24 hours.

Yes, there was a bit of peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling, but the hotel was clean, tidy and everyone from the bell boy to the desk staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms are always clean and tidy and are a generous size for NYC.

We got a renovated room which was spotless.
