Doubletree Hotel San Antonio Airport

Since it was our first time to SA, I picked a bad location as it really isn't close to anything -- but from the hotel to the rivewalk was about 15 minutes and to seaword was about 20-25 so really it wasn't all that bad at all.

The Spanish fountain is really peaceful, location is awesome as there is TONS of shopping and the hotel has a great place to eat on-site.

Yes, the location is far from town and nightlife, however, the big plus was that it was directly across the street from the Northstar Mall and near other chains such as the Container Store and Target.

This hotel is located a very short drive from the airport but is far enough away so that the runway noise is non-existent.

If you are driving from the airport the entrance from the surface road is not very obvious.

When we got back to the room late that night, the room had been made, but the beds were made with the same soiled sheets, and the bathroom floor had not been mopped and still smelled awful of vomit!

When we got there, we discovered that all of our rooms had one bed in it.

I don't mind firm beds, but sleeping on a rock hard bed is impossible.

The bed was actually quite good, the air conditioner worked well and there was no end to the hot water in the morning.

My room was very comfortable as were the bed and the shower.

The lounge bar and restaurant are very nice, too.

The rooms were clean, service was less than acceptable the service in the bar was great and restaurant were friendly.

Very comfortable bedding and the restaurant has a good breakfast buffet.

Since no upgrades were available she on her own, coded our cards for access to the concierge 5th floor lounge for the nightly wine/cheese and morning continental breakfast.

The restaurant was good for a lunch or dinner.

Clean rooms, pleasant service from staff!

Our clean, small and somewhat dated room(no fridge) was located near the wonderful courtyard area with its pool and patio and its swimmersfriendly elevator!

Other: Has a decent gym and small sauna.

The courtyard pool was small but clean and very pretty.

Wireless internet was 10 dollars a day and only of average quality, which has, unfortunatly, become the norm.

Internet connection is via ethernet (not wireless) and is SLOW.

The room was above average -- clean, and tidy.

The bathroom was also small but very clean and updated.

Desk staff were friendly, the room was above average -- clean.

Bathrooms are extremely clean, restaurant are very nice and the price is reasonable compared to many other choices.

The staff were helpful and our room was clean and nice.
