The location was very convenient and the hotel offered free breakfast to compensate for shortcomings.

The parking at the hotel is free and it is located conveniently right off of 390, about 8 miles from the airport.

It's about a ten minute drive from the airport, and traffic is not normally ever an issue in Rochester.

Bathroom: granite counters/tiled tub/neutrogena amenities, Bedroom: Comfortable 5 pillow King bedroom has couch and coffee table.

Rooms were ok at best, with crud around the bathroom faucets and small and rather uncomfortable beds.

This is an old Holidome whose franchised changed to DoubleTree and then went through major,major renovations (bathroom/bedroom/furniture and Common Areas, exterior) a year ago.

The room was a fair size with two comfortable double beds, a desk, TV and reading chair.

There were other small inconveniences -- a dirty glass in the bathroom, a dirty coffee maker (including pot full of old coffee and used grounds), only one garbage can in the entire room, no fridge/mini bar.

Breakfast is served in their onsite restaurant and was good for the meal, tax and gratuities of anything on the menu including a wonderful full breakfast buffet.

A towel bar would have been nice, the breakfast staff are very pleasant.

But the restaurant was good for breakfast and the hotel offered free breakfast to compensate for shortcomings.

Overall the employees at the front desk, bellhop service, lifeguards, and the restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly.

The service I received was excellent-- the staff remembers your name and handles any request.

Restaurant was excellent for brunch with outstanding service (as were all dealings with staff).

Between the lobby and the rooms there is an atrium which houses an indoor pool, a garden lounge, a restaurant, a fitness room, and meeting areas.

The weeding, oddly enough was also in the lobby area, by the pool.

The use of the pool was the perfect outlet for my four children to expend their pent-up energies, and after the children were asleep it was just the right place for Mom and Dad to relax.

This is done wired, but the desk clerk told me there is wireless access from the lobby (although I didn't try it).

Expecting a clean hotel, great Service and the bathroom was big.

Our room was clean and contemporary with neutral-coloured decor -- all thanks to, I assume, the recent renovations mentioned by other reviewers.

However, it was clear that they had decided to save some expense by not replacing the old bathtub/shower which was quite small and showing its age.
