Doubletree Hotel Norfolk Airport - 罗福

Yes, the location is strange -- above a mall.

I assigned this location by Gov travel folks.

We will definitely stay at the Doubletree Club Norfolk Airport hotel again.

The hotel is in Military Circle Mall, which is about 5 minutes from the airport.

My assigned room was fine, cold AC, comfortable bed and extremely clean room and bath.

We booked a king bed suite and drove 12 hours only to arrive and find out that they dont have any king beds available!

We refused that room and they moved us back upstairs, to a room they claimed was not water-damaged and had a king-size bed.

The staff was very professional and welcoming, the cookies were warm, the room was very clean, and the bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in at any hotel we've visited.

The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty well soundproofed.

As a diamond honors member I recieved a voucher for a free hot breakfast bar at the new restaurant so I was ready for some bacon and eggs!

There was no free breakfast, but there were $-off coupons for room service or restaurant meals.

Moreover the restaurant's breakfast was good.

I was given coupons for free continental breakfasts at the attached restaurant, or $2.

We enjoyed walking around the attached Mall and dining at the hotel restaurant.

Best service for the price in the area, the hotel staff was nice and helpful, arrived late in the evening- front desk was friendly.

Property recently implemented free internet service, but you have to remember to inform the front desk at check-out since the $9.

By this time we were very tired, didn't want to put up with any more "attitude" from the front desk staff and unwilling to try a 5th room!

The front desk staff acted as if they wished they were anywhere but at work.

They run a free shuttle from ~5am to midnite, and parking's free in the mall lot.

The lobby is tiny, the elevators smell musty, the carpet is worn.

The only thing that was offensive was the smell when coming out of the elevator to the 8th floor ~ was musty.

This hotel is nowhere near Hilton or Doubletree standards, the middles of the rooms are clean enough and pool are nice.

The staff too they were great, the room was generally clean and neat.

The "middles" of the rooms are clean enough, but people with tender stomachs shouldn't look in corners, especially near the sliding balcony doors.

However, I have to say that the room was clean and the Russian cleaning ladies were very diligent.

The hotel is on a mall property -- the mall itself is not all that great, the beds appear really clean.
