The hotel does validate the parking, but that doesn't seem necessary since I never saw anyone collecting money at the garage during the three days I was there.
This hotel is probably the best you will find in Modesto, for 1/2 the price is well worth and excellent service from start to finish.
The biggest disappointment was the lack of available taxis.
I could hear the guy breathing in the adjoining room like he was in bed with me.
Inside the hotel was lovely, the rooms were fine, clean, roomy bathroom, comfy beds, all as excpected from the Doubletree.
The suites are very nice with large bathrooms/tubs.
I had a bed and breakfast for 10 years so am more fussy than most about cleanliness and bedding.
Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable, with scads of pillows.
When my wife and I were eating breakfast, the entire restaurant staff (waiters,busboys, and manager) sat down in the restaurant at a nearby table to share a snack during their break while we ate.
The room was clean and the service in the restaurant was good for breakfast.
The hotel staff was courteous, the room service breakfast was very good and downstairs bar was friendly.
Other than the bar, we only went to Breakfast.
Nearby is a Sports Bar offering a good sandwiches and the pool area is spacious.
The concierge and the front desk were not able to help out much with this either.
Breakfast service was better with attentive wait staff and prompt service.
Regardless of the theft issue most of the staff were inexperienced and had poor overall service skills.
The staff, from valet to receptionist and gift shop attendant, was very professional and friendly.
To the hotel's credit, they had a security guard posted in the provided parking garage across the street.
Pool Area is good and trains come through all night long.
You can not use the stairs to get to the lobby or between floors; only exit from the stairwells is onto the street through an alarmed door.
2005 nice big clean room, the free coffee.
Front desk was very welcoming, breakfast buffet good considering the price (free for HHonors Gold), and the room was very clean.
The rooms were fine and food was good and fresh.
