To be a doubletree hotel this is a very good hotel with a reasonable service and price level.
I booked a night at this hotel over the internet with the "pay now" option (to get a reduced rate).
Despite its downtown location, it was easy to travel to the Galleria area, the Montrose area, and the Medical Center area without using the dreaded local freeways.
Bar area is very relaxing and beautiful, the only thing good about this hotel is its location, the front desk supervisor went well out of his way to help me get back.
Great view of downtown, great location as we were in town to sightsee and take in a basketball game.
It costs 50 dollars for a taxi from the airport.
Take the number 52 or 35 bus to TheGalleria mall (but costs 1 dollar, taxi costs 20).
Down comforter on the bed, plenty of pillows, very nice bathroom with fluffy towels, etc.

I don't know if this is the case on all floors but sometimes I am assigned one, and they've turned out to be very large 2 room suites, the size of an urban apartment.
