• The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the cookies keep us coming back.

  The room was clean and bed was comfortable, but. Room keys frequently lose their programming. EVERYDAY, when returning to my room, my room key failed to unlock my door. You have to keep them away from your cell phone and credit cards. I return to my room - and it doesn't work. Only stay here if you need this general location.

  Service was fine, but food quality was bad. I had to walk all the way back to the elevator (I was at the end of the hall - which frustrated me even more) and go down to the front desk to reprogram it. It is about a mile from the town center and there is a free bus service (Red Line) that takes you up through town.

  The room was very clean and the staff were very helpful with directions. We ate in the resturant for lunch and the pannini sandwiches were awesome.

  The property is convenient for driving being very close to the highway and a major thoroughfare and with reasonable parking.

  This property is located acoss the street from a major Charlotte employer and it's generally filled with staff of that company. The restaurant is typical business-hotel fare; it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a one-size fits-all menu. The front desk staff is generally well organized and check-in/out is almost always painless; the only problems seem to be when there's a crowd and they get overwhelmed quickly. The rooms are also pretty basic: decorated in a neutral, current style, average in size, the usual bedding, work desk and chair.

  Every employee was very cordial and with the " wiling and able " attitude! The services were great, not to mention the restaurant.

  Parking--we have a mini van and all of the parking seemed suited for compact cars-very difficult with a gate that would not open when key was inserted repeatedly. First time I have ever had to pay for parking! Internet---cost of $10 per day to use the service---never have had to pay for internet access before and didn't start on this trip---did without. Was told that the restaurant would open @ 5pm (This was at 1pm----kind of a long wait for some water) I was finally given two 8 oz. Noise---a lot of noise outside of the room until around 1AM---drunken party sounds. Room service---very expensive (which I expected) for the quality---but a lot of the extras listed on the menu had to be requested after the meal was received (ex: fish and chips was sent without the advertised tartar sauce and coleslaw) Not acceptable in my view.

  Vending--water only sold on the ground floor and sold out----on a hot day in July--with no stores around that were open.

  I'm on the 8th floor in a King Executive room. The bed is nice with lots of extra pillows etc. As a business traveler the one thing I'm really liking is the lamps by the bed have 2 plugins on the base of each of them! I hate having to go digging behind the beds/bedstands to find plugins. There was a bathrobe/slippers on the bed when I got here as well as chocolates on the pillows. The bathroom is very nice and they even provide a little squishy scrubby shower thing which is cool never seen a hotel provide that before and I travel quite a bit.

  Our room (5th floor) had a nice view of the stadium. The hotel was very quiet and within walking distance of much of downtown Charlotte.

  The bed was harder than I like and was well worn.

  The hotel staff was very helpful and gives each person a warm delicious chocolate chip cookie upon check in. High speed internet in room for only $10/day, self parking is only $10/day.

  And the rooms were definitely lower end than Hilton-branded properties although still very well appointed (but with extremely loud air conditioning units! What makes me give this hotel four stars is the service. From the second we hit check in we were greeted with super service from Adam (didn't mind the delicious chocolate chip cookie either! The food was reasonably priced, plentiful, healthy, special orders were no trouble and the delightful Faith, our waitress, made us very welcome. On the second night, I was working in the business centre to get out of my room for a while, when the computer crashed and I lost the work I was doing. I was quite angry, but I couldn't have asked for a better staff response. The front desk manager, Chellie, immediately waived the in-room internet charge and sent up a voucher for free room service appetisers for my colleague and I who were going to have to work late as a result of the error. The staff really did make the difference in what probably would have been an otherwise unremarkably (but perfectly acceptable) stay.

  Because we arrived on a Sunday, we ate in the hotel as most uptown restaurants were closed - and we weren't sorry we did.
