The on-site restaurant had reasonable food at reasonable prices, the hotel grounds were so large and the housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful.
This does not make it a good business hotel if you need to pay 11.
The location is next to the freeway, but we didn't hear any traffic noise.
There seem to be many other lodging options at this location in Bakersfield.
A highly rated Hampton near the airport and other high quality furnishings.
The hotel has four floors, but one floor appears to be underground (we were on the 4th floor and there were two rows of windows below us).
Our suite had one room with a King bed and one with two queens, so I'm attaching pictures of both.
There was a comfortable king bed, nice bath and shower, refrigerator, and other high quality furnishings.

Having said that, the hotel is clean, there is a fridge and coffeemaker in the room, and the bed is comfortable.
The rooms were very old, crapet was old, the only thing that was good is bed.
The breakfast buffet was very nice, in addition to the usual they have an omlette bar (yumm) and had fresh belgian waffles with the best strawberry preserves I have ever tasted!
From the airport was fast, also the breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was good and the staff at the front desk were very nice helpful.

The Doubletree in Bakersfield is a nice hotel with plenty of parking and and a lovely pool / jacuzzi.
There's a very nice pool spa area, great restaurant across the street and this hotel is clean and quiet.
On the downside, wired internet is $10/day in your room, but free wireless is available in the lobby.
