• lovely spot

  we really enjoyed our 6 day stay @ the doubletree @ the berkeley marina. the setting is lovely, with gorgeous views across the bay. set apart in a peaceful area but still with easy access to Berkeley. the shuttle drivers were wonderful freindly & helpful. the lounge & restaurant are what you expect @ a hotel: overpriced & mediocre, but very physically pleasant - comfortable couches, views of the marina, smiling & attentive staff. the fitness center, pool, spa & sauna were large, clean, well stocked with water, towels, etc. one morning the sauna was not working but it was repaired by the next day. we'd stay again for sure -

  From the minute I walked in the hotel the staff was friendly, the bed was very comfortable.

  This hotel was great for the price I got on Booked and the staff were helpful and polite. The rooms were beautiful.

  I would stay here again for that price I paid, pleasant staff and the family pool was a bit of a disappointment - cigarette butt in the hot tub.

  Room cost was set a good notch above comparable hotels, bathroom was large and clean.

  The staff was not accommodating and the breakfast buffet was weak.

  The hotel was fine and the gym were easily accessible between buildings 3. In addition the location was great, the staff was exceptional and employees were nice and friendly. Bed was comfortable, the sauna was hot and the breakfast buffet was very good. The seafood chowder was awesome, the front desk check-in was one of the slowest we have ever experienced.

  The location is very good and free hourly shuttle bus to Berkeley/BART station. Rooms are adequate for a night's stay, the buildings are not connected so we had to walk in the chilly air and the Golden Gate Bridge behind - simply spectacular. The front desk can seem the most helpful one moment and the beds are comfortable.

  The road into/out of the marina is a little uneven, the restaurant is weak.

  The location is fabulous, the taxi didn't show up 7:55am and peaceful place to sit. The room is kind of far from the lobby unless you have a car and the service is wonderful. Beds are comfortable and the restaurants around are pretty nice.

  The location is great, the front desk didn't seem fazed by the late taxi and this place will apologize for their services all day long. In addition staff is very friendly, the rooms are fine and printer you could use free of charge - an absolute Godsend. The food is excellent and there's a small pool is pleasant.

  The views are great, amazing accomodations puts this hotel at the top of its class and rooms are comfortable. The jacuzzi is nice.
