  The room was small and the bath leaked if you filled it and no plug. The breakfast buffet was very poor with poor hygiene in dealing with the food, which was often left not covered, and not chilled, the yogurt in one big open pot from 6-30 am.

  Athens was our very last stop and we were all excited for the city and the hotel since we heard it had a rooftop pool. Once in the hotel, it took a long time for our group to get to our rooms considering there are only one (or two) small elevators. The actual hotel is quite nice - excellent staff, excellent beds, rooms, and bathrooms.

  When our bus arrived, a hotel employee came out to tell us to be careful because thieves are often waiting for bus groups like ourselves because we are easy targets. We were warned that thieves often come into the lobby and snatch bags when people are waiting for the elevator.

  They claimed not to have a printer in their office, and insisted we wander the neighbourhood looking for an internet cafe with its own printer, We eventually found one, but it's not a neighbourhood that you'd want to wander around in. As soon as my partner got into bed it collapsed under him (the manager explained that they were very expensive orthopaedic beds, and that they often collapsed. The waiter refused to set a table for anyone who arrived after 9. The waiter closed the entrance to the restaurant at 9.

  The lobby looks ok, but the rooms and the service are awful. The toilet seat in my bathroom didn't even fit the toilet - it was just laying loosely on the top, there was only a hand held shower and a tub, no shower curtain. The bed was without a doubt the worst one I've ever tried to sleep on. I made reservations for dinner for my group in advance and there was only one poor waitress trying to serve all the guests in the restaurant. My complaints to the front desk were completely dismissed - the desk clerk just handed me a business card and said I could write them a letter.

  The hotel public areas are fine and the breakfast was good for Greek standards. The rooftop bar commands great views of Athens and there is a rooftop pool which looked clean. The room was ok on first impressions, large with a tv and air con but it was full of mosquitos. There were also mosquitos in the lift and lobby area.

  Omonia is a horrible area, lots of cheap stalls, beggers and sex shops. For this reason alone I definitely wouldn't go back, there are better hotels for the same cost in nicer areas.

  I was offered a single room which was a twin but one of the beds were broken, the view was of an office block, and the shower was too small.

  My wife and i stayed at the dorian inn and to be honest we where thinking of canceling because of trip adviser ratings, fortunatly we decided to stay with the booking ,the staff where very helpfull and friendly the location was central and the metro was a god send ,ok the noise is of a high volume but then again this is a city center location ,the roof top pool was spotles and the view was breathtaking from the roof top pool area ,breakfast in the morning is good value and is a very enjoyable starter to the day.

  Having just returned from our trip to Greece, I have feedback on the Dorian..... First, the location makes this hotel desirable. The Acropolis is within walking distance and so are lots of shops and markets. This elimates the need for a taxi. Second, the amenities are great. The breakfast buffet is one of the better I have seen. The 360 views from the roof are unbeatable (especially at night) and there is the added plus of being one of the few hotels with a pool..(a rooftop pool at that). Third, and important to most is the value...this hotel was very reasonably priced thru GTA and well worth the $$$. I'd like to add that you need to remember that Athens is a city..and with cities come dirt and traffic and noise. For Athens I do recommend this hotel.

  I had a room on the 10th floor with a great balcony. On the whole the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool and bar have fantastic views of the Acropolis and Athens. There is a restaurant there in the evening (which was full) – however I did not eat here as we ate out in Plaka (highly recommended).

  I would not walk around the area at night – however if you want to go out, get a taxi to the Plaka area and back again.

  Our room didn't smell great and the bathroom didn't have a shower curtain. It was right in town and the roof top bar was nice, this had a good view over the city. The roof top bar was nice, didn't have much else going for it.
