Dioscuri Bay Palace

The main problem we had was the location of our room in the front of the hotel over the lobby which got very noisy in the evening due to a conference in the hotel.

We had a wonderful time and the hotel was in a great location.

The location of the hotel is right on the water so the view is very nice from the pool area.

It appears that the hotel serves local businesses as well as the tour bus crowd (I visited by Rent a Car).

Our room, its balcony, bed and bathroom were all clean and comfortable.

It lacked basic services, in the bedrooms, no iron, for ironing our clothes, the towels where too small and thin, the room had a mold and damp patch in the ceiling and was like that in the corridor.

The room smelled horrible of the old shower curtain in the bathroom, which really needed replacing.

Great view of the small boat harbor We had 2 rooms for 4 adults and we all rated this hotel the best of the five we stayed in while touring Sicily by car.

We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, most nights you were lucky to see more than 8 or so people in eating there.

There were a few restaurants but they were more places to "get some food" than to go for a nice meal.

The breakfast room is ugly and crowded with tour groups (which arrived late on the previous day) racing to get food before their buses left.

The dining room is essentially a collection of tables in what looks like a shopping mall - theres also what is described as an American bar which is a standalone bar sitting in the mall.

The beach is great, with umbrellas, a bar, food, and hokey music.

The front desk staff was very friendly and very helpful with tips for restaurants, tour guides, etc.

The staff at the front desk amplifies this feeling with quick and uncaring answers to questions.

OK no staff in posh uniforms for which one pays extra.

The hotel and staff are well above par and food at the Ristorante Pescatore just along the promenade has to be sampled to be believed.

The Hotel was on the waterfront with a lovely pool out front giving it a warm & relaxing feeling.

The only down side was that the pool was unusable due to the very strong winds.

The hotel is located on the water, with beautiful views and a very nice and large pool (although we did not use it).

The rooms were clean, large, and more than adequate appointments.

The room was large, clean and nicely furnished.

The rooms were comfortable,clean and larger than average, the food was ok and the staff very courteous.

On the positive side, the room was clean and well equipped.
