The location: The Hotel is situated up a steep incline from the beach/town, a courtesy bus runs every 10 minutes to the sister hotel at the bottom of the hill, this is a reliable service and runs from 10am - 11pm.
The hotel is situated at the top of a very steep slope, which could be a disadvantage,however a very frequent mini-bus runs every few minutes until about 2100 from the sister hotel, the Turquesa Playa, which, in my opinion, is not as nice as the Mirador.
The rooms were also very very noisy with little or no sound insulation, we could hear our neighbours snoring anmd turning over in bed and using the bathroom, also when the neighbours smoked we got all the cigarette smoke in our room.
The rooms: Both suites were very clean with daily maid service and a midweek change of linen, bath robes were supplied, the bedroom and lounge were a good size with television in both rooms.
The rooms, which are suites are large, indeed with TV sets in both the lounge and bedroom,and offering channels in Spanish, English, French, German and Italian.
Ourselves and friends have just returned from a weeks holiday staying at the Hotel Diamantes Suites, the holiday was provided by Palmair through Bath Travel.
Each time we made a request for something we were asked for a deposit, not only a $20 deposit for the key to the safe in our room but a $16 charge to use it for one week, and a deposit of $10 for each pool towel which were worn out.
Service is fine - extra blankets provided within 10 minutes and the bar is not expensive.
There are 2 specialist restaurants which you can book, one visit a week included in the all inclusive package.
The entertainment: Each evening in the bar light entertainment was available, either keyboard/vocal, magician, quiz etc, the entertainment was not to loud so you could still sit and converse comfortably.
Spanish champagne type wine was available at breakfast several times a week.
The staff are helpful and friendly and the bar is not expensive and the evening entertainment is good.
The Service: All the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, they did manage to get me an iron to use but no ironing bourd, so I had to use a coffee table, I was allowed the use of the iron for one evening only.
A fine hotel, the staff are helpful and friendly.
A lovely, friendly hotel with superb facilities and staff and well worth a visit.
Hotel is situated at the top of a pretty steep hill, there is a free shuttle bus every half hour up and back, without this the stay would have impossible.
