Individual guest reviews

  • Great location without being in the City Centre, friendly welcome and price reasonable. Most importantly the staff made myself, rooms were clean and the Salmon meal had chilly on the fish and in the pasta wasnt mentioned on the menu.

This hotel is the nasty place i have ever stayed and breakfast is poor.

  • On direct bus route into city and ideal location on a through route into/. The hotel is comfortable and the 1850's building is beautiful. The staff are really friendly, rooms are good and great little bar down stairs. Breakfast is absolutely wonderful.

The decor furniture were very old dated, reception girl was grumpy and radiator in bathroom was stone cold Radiator in bedroom was luke warm.

  • Good location for uni, reception staff very efficient in Booked cabs and the decor in the bedroom was light. The price had been put up substantially as there was a big football match on the next day, the room was huge, and the decorations were superb, service was prompt. The bed was comfortable and towels were clean and there were enough for the two of us.

The hotel was awful and only Scrambled eggs on offer were unfortunately "fLaoting " in water residue. The toilet was dirty and breakfast was worst I have had.

  • Reception area was attractive, room had a huge bay window and the thing I liked most about our recent stay here was the freindliness. The price was amazingly low, staff were friendly and the bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The towels were clean, breakfast was fine.

The location isn't great, decor was tired and not for the money we paid for. The bedroom was dirty and the restaurant was closed on Sat, a wedding was on as well. The receptionists were poor.

  • The hotel was great and the staff were most helpful as we were delayed on the motorway due to a serious accident. Room was clean and warm, the food was good you had 2 choices for the evening.

The shower did not spray properly due to limescale build up in the shower head.

  • The gardens are lovely and you do not realise that you are in a major city, the location is excellent and we highly recommend this hotel to everyone, staff are Superb. The rooms are spotlessly clean.

Very bad and obvious plastering between the shower screen and the bath, worst breakfast ever.

  • The proximity to Liverpool centre was ideal and the best place I went to was The Roman Catholic Cathedral. Reception and staff were good, rooms were very spacious, the service was second to none and the food was delicious.

  • Good location for buses into town and excellent Hotel. The weekday staff were friendly, room was spacious and comfortable, most importantly the cooked food was kept hot.

The bathroom door would not shut and disgustingly dirty curtains. The restaurant uninviting.

  • Good location and great Value. Very efficient booked service, receptionist on checking out was friendly and also, bizarrely, the cold water was warm. Breakfast and staff were excellent.

  • The staff were very friendly, great location into Liverpool and nice large room in a recently decorated part of the hotel. Reception team were friendly and helpful, bathrooms were excellent lovely tiled floors, service at breakfast was not professional, lots of pork, and just one kind of bread, sandwich bread.

Certainly not worth the money, slow personnel and once again the television did not work, this time because was wrongly connected up.
