This hotel is well worth the money you pay, you will not be disappointed.

Very near the frontage road of the adjacent highway and the location is perfect for a trip in or out of Albany airport.

We liked the location of the hotel and comfortable home.

Great boutique hotel near the Albany airport.

The foot at both Scrimshaw's (expensive) and Simpson's is wonderful.

Our room was WONDERFUL -- very clean with beautiful decor and a nice comfy four-poster king bed.

The bed was comfortable and the room service was quick, resonably priced and good.

My room was nice but a bit small, especially considering the king poster canopy bed.

One big problem was the location of the tv, I could not lay in bed without the tv being obstructed by the post of the bed.

The executive suite has two bathrooms which was major convenience and helped expedite us getting ready in the morning.

The rooms are comfortable and quiet, the bar is great, the menu in the restaurant is AWESOME.

Also bar mitzvahs - the public rooms are well sound-proofed and simpsons restaurant is pretty good.

The food we ate at the Desmond restaurants was excellent.

On the negative side: the restaurant food was nothing special - I had a really terrible steak; the elevators were scary-old and in need of upgrades.

The hotel served breakfast buffets and a sit down lunch that were excellent throughout the week.

I got married at the Desmond (ceremony, reception and two night stay) and the service was excellent, the accomodations were great and the hotel itself is a unique experience.

Great hotel, excellent staff/service and my room was nice.

The staff was extremely pleasant and the room service was even fairly reasonable.

I liked the fact that the hotel staff was genuinely concerned that our stay would be comfortable in order to take the exam, the service was excellent and this room was also fairly recently renovated.

Great place for a convention and pleasant receptiuon/shuttle service/complimentary parking.

There was also an odd smell most likely caused by the indoor pool and live plants.

Dinner was delicious and the courtyard pool was convenient.

Bathroom appeared clean and the food was excellent.

The rooms were spotless and excellent premium priced restaurant called Scrimshaw.

Rooms were clean, the food was excellent and our dinner at the Scrimshaw was superb.

The hotel was clean, the employees very helpful and the amenities were great, ie the pool and excercise room.

Checked in and went to my room, the hallways are very dark and just don't have a fresh smell.

    When we travel by air, we always attempt to fly out of Albany. Most of the time, we make very early morning flights. It has become our habit to drive to Albany the day before the flight, and spend the night at the Desmond. Simply the best in Albany.
    What's more, their park and fly plan is a real boon to the traveler.

    The hotel was spectacular, the front desk was always helpful and the room was well appointed. The restaurants were great and the waitress made excellent suggestions.

    I liked the fact that the hotel staff was genuinely concerned that our stay would be comfortable in order to take the exam, the service was excellent and this room was also fairly recently renovated. The food was good, everything at dinner was just perfect and the facilities were great for the conference.
