We learned that all glacier tours originate from one company therefore whether you book from the hotel or within the city, the price is the same.

We did book the ice trekking trip via the hotel and found the price to be exactly the same as what was listed downtown.

The hotel helped us book our trip to the Perito Moreno glacier - same price as if you book in the city, but they only take cash.

Overall left the hotel somewhat disappointed -- probably not worth the premium price, especially considering the distance from, and difficulty getting to, the main part of Calafate.

Superb location on the edge of the lake, el Calafate is nice for 2 or 3 nights and the rooms can get very warm.

The location on the lake is just stunningly beautiful and this hotel is truly excellent.

The location over looking the lake was great and the hotel staff was so helpful.

They don't provide airport transfers and taxis are not readily available at the airport.

At other times, taxis are easy to arrange by phone and cost less than A$10.

The bathroom has a glass window between it and the bedroom and you can gaze out through the room to the beautiful view whilst you are showering.

The shower head is located in a quite a large size tub however the partition between the shower area and the rest of the bathroom stops halfway across the bathtub.

The bathroom did flood a bit when you showered due to the glass not extending the length of the tub, but placing a towel/hand cloth at the edge prevented a lot of the water from dripping down.

We had a lake view room which was beautiful - the bathroom is very clean & modern, there is a big closet and a nice TV.

As a result, the sprays from the shower are not contained within the tub therefore eventually water will end up onto the bathroom floor.

The bar/restaurant area were very nice, any food we had in the hotel was beautiful and the service was great from the minute we began checking in.

Definitely looks new and has all the facilities you'd expect (bar, restaurant, small pool, a few internet stations, public patio).

In addition, their breakfast buffet is splendid - the variety is huge and the food itself delicious!

The hotel staff was so helpful and very nice -the front desk staff, waiters, pool up-keepers- they all spoke great English too!

The location has great views, new and comfortable hotel, the attentive service of the staff.

The pool was so warm was like swimming in a jacuzzi, the restaurant was good.

The pool and gym facilities were very nice - there was always friendly staff to help you, there is a nice locker room, the pool is well-heated.

Don't miss relaxing in the pool and Spa area while enjoying the views of the lake and snow capped mountains.

They provide free wireless internet, which I find rare for Argentine hotels.

The common areas and rooms are reasonably nice, but it is clear that attention to detail is lacking with respect to design, construction and service.

    Beautiful pool area and the lake is nothing that amazing. The hotel is situated rather high, the staff is nice and the bathroom fittings look good.

    The view is great, the lake front apartment is very spacious and the Hotels communual areas are wonderful as are the indoor pool. Very nice -the front desk staff and the Design Suites are very beautiful. Breakfast is also good.

    Has amazing lake views and nice atmosphere. The building itself looks modern from the distance and comfortable design lobby. Attentive staff, great room and beautiful and a bathtub. The breakfast was pleasant and dinner was pretty good.

    Benefits from awesome views and quiet hotel. Their friendly staff, large bedroom and nice little bars. The food was excellent and pool up-keepers- they all spoke great English too.

    Had a great view of the lake and the hotel was designed by a famous architect. The service we received was we expected for the price paid, rooms were spacious and the food was very good. Unlike most of the locals went out of their way to be friendly and gym were also very well fitted.

    A great view on the lake and exquisite hotel architecture. Staff displayed good service and this also makes the bathroom nice and light. The food itself delicious and the heated swimming pool.

    The views are spectacular, design Suites is a great place to stay and water pools on the floor from the poorly designed shower. The restaurant is nice, my spanish is quite good.

    Facilities in is a small town at the end of the world almost, staff can be more helpful and then the maid didnt bother to issue us.
