Emma
Location right by an underground tunnel, Main Street and local attractions, and quite a hike up the stairs. Classic-style building, decent sized and unique rooms with aircon and a good size bathroom, for instance. Welcoming staff, wake up service and ironing free of charge.

My stay at the Desert Cave exceeded all expectations. The underground sleeping experience in a cave-like room was truly extraordinary. The room, beds, and bathroom were spacious, clean, and superb. The hotel's connection to an underground tunnel and museum made the stay even more special. It was a unique and unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend. The hotel also offered great value for the money and had a fantastic location in town. Plus, there was an excellent pizzeria just across the road.
Nothing, all was good. 😊

The sight of the rocky hills bursting with dazzling colors in the sunlight was truly breathtaking. The hotel's peaceful atmosphere extended to its recreational facilities, including the outdoor pool and games room. It was a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the opal fields of Coober Pedy. We also enjoyed the convenience of the hotel's location, just a 2-minute drive from Old Timers Mine and 5 minutes from Coober Pedy Golf Club.
For dads, it would be great if the hotel offered more activities and amenities specifically for families with children.

The hotel provides all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay, so there is nothing that needs improvement.

Robert
Located on the main street, this hotel was close to all the attractions in the area. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was well-maintained. The staff provided excellent service and the breakfast was satisfying. There were many facilities and room advantages, such as the underground bar and museum which gave a good insight into the history of the town. The atmosphere was unique and welcoming.
The hotel seemed outdated in some aspects.

The sstaff at reception were friendly and help fuland the barman was helpfulwith local information and advice. The novelty of the underground room was the main reason for staing there and it lived up to expectation. The hotel was close to shops. We booked the Desert Cave Tour and it was a highlight of our entire NT and Central Australia trip with a great guide who had excellent local knowledge.
