First obtained a good price for B&B through 3rd party - asked hotel to match it which they did, I prefer to book direct with the hotel if competitive price.
Excellent Location, great hotel and at a cheap daily rate.
Very good location, the outdoor pub a two-minute walk away has great beer and the hotel is directly located to the pedestrian area/old town.

Hotel arranged taxi transfer from airport at 10 lats, which was not the lowest price but reasonable and reliable.

The suites were a very nice size, with a sitting area (couches and chairs) that made having guests we were visiting comfortable enough to meet up with us in our room (with great windows overlooking the square and the Freedom Monument).
Also breakfest in bed was a great idea, the breakfast was good.

Very good front of house staff, service is always very professional and bathroom is big will well stocked toiletries.
We found the reception staff very friendly but the bar girl was extremely rude.
However there was one at reception that the staff used!

The hotel doesn't have a pool or gym but it does have a sauna.
No Pool, or gym so how can they rate it 5 star?
We were a little bit annoyed that we had to pay for Wi-fi access, but it was nice that this access was even available (we had own lap tops).
Furthermore the staff is excellent and the room is spacious and clean.

The hotel was clean, the furniture in the room was well worn and buffet breakfast on the 7th floor was excellent.
