  My husband & I stayed at this motel in March of 08, it was nasty, plus it was scary. If you were going out of the room at night you better carry a gun. My husband and I are headed back to Tampa this week and it's a shame someone in this area doesn't open a clean motel. They could shut this place down. We got out as early as we could the next day. The sad part was that there is no other place to stay that is nice for several 100 miles!!! I guess that is how they get away with this place being so nasty!!! I can't believe The Days Inn lets their name be on this place!!! Most Days Inns are clean, neat and up-dated. I do not recommend anyone to stay here. Even after a shower I felt dirty!! I did complain and I got a few e-mails but that was it!! Make your plans to stop before Starke to stay over night!! I don't have to be in an upscale hotel, but I do require it to be clean. This makes my skin crawl everytime I think about it!!!

  After using the ATM in the hotel lobby, one hour later, the card had been used by someone else in the town and I was notified by my bank. The rooms always look dirty, I never take off my shoes, I shower with flip-flops, and take my suitcase with me whenever I leave. I also take with me a cheap candle to have lit while there so the mildew and stale smoke of the room is smothered as well as a can of Raid and Lysol because of my first encounter with a huge roach and a fast, large spider. I travel with my own pillow and blanket for the bed and strip their comforter and leave it on the floor. Before I arrive I call the desk and let them know to double check my room just in case.
