The location is good and the free breakfast is nothing to brag about.
The location is good (about a mile walk to most of the bars/restaurants downtown and right on the harbor).
We chose this motel because of cost and location to the ship terminals - we were very pleased.
Airport - free, the whole place has kind of a worn-down feel to and the price is reasonable.
Not sure if they vacuum--feet turned black, walking bare-foot on the carpet.
The sofa bed was actually quite comfy and the continental breakfast was simple.
Room - stayed on the 3rd floor in one of the nicer rooms.

The room itself (and the beds) looked and felt like they hadn't been updated in about 20 years, and the whole place has kind of a worn-down feel to it.
If your a sound-sleeper and need a hard bed then this is the place for you, if not save yourself the aggravation and book somewhere else.
Breakfast - just enough to get you on your way.
The breakfast was a bare minimum kind of thing like others have described.
The "continental breakfast" was dry toast and stale danish.
We did go down for the continental breakfast provided by the hotel.
Free breakfast--bread (toast), pastry, coffee.
Front desk staff - AWESOME, the room turned out to be better than average.
The shuttle service provided to the ship terminal and airport - free!
At a good price over weekend was Days Inn Harborview and the staff was friendly.
I told the guy at the front desk and he said that they try to keep them out but all of San Diego has a roach problem.
Pool - just a pool and no jacuzzi but the kids loved it!
Nice flatscreen TVs and workmen near the elevator.
The thing that clinched the deal was the rate and comp train shuttle.
For the price of the room - it was clean with friendly staff - what more could you ask for!
We found the staff accomodating and the rooms were clean.
