  Good downtown location next to the highway and directly across from the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum. There is a lot of parking in the rear of the hotel and the hotel restaurant was nice and affordable. The hotel was also pet friendly for a small fee.

  I got a double bed room that was somewhat larger than most other double bed rooms that I have stayed at. The room was clean and had all that you need. A nice 2 foot tall fridge was big enough to store leftovers and ample supplies of foods.

  The pool was closed and most of the lobby was under construction. They do, however, have a restaurant in the lobby area and they are a little pricey. Mojo's (closed on Mon & Tuesday) is a dueling piano bar and they had $2.

  The room was also un-renovated and smelled funny. I then went in the hallway and saw that there was a king room vacant and being cleaned two doors down. The hotel is still under renovation, which you see when you enter the lobby and read the large sign - but this is not told to you ahead of time. The website makes it look like a nice new hotel but it is really just your run of the mill crappy Days Inn with a lousy, lousy staff who have no regard for their clientele.

  The first room I was assigned had eight inches of standing water in the bathroom because of a leak. It looked like your typical Days Inn - horrible bed spread, motel all the way. I was then assigned a renovated room, but it was a double instead of the king room which I had reserved, and had called to confirm two days earlier.

  The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the weekend. Everyone from the hotel manger to the house keeping staff always greeted us with a hello and a smile and made sure our stay was going great. It was plenty spacious for the 3 of us and had all accommodations we needed including a fridge and a microwave! We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant the food was outstanding! The lobby bar was a great relaxing place for us to have a drink and appetizers before we headed out on the town.

  The second you step foot into the lobby you know you're not entering your average Days Inn! The rooms are fresh and stylish with very comfortable bedding, again making you feel like you're in a lux hotel. The price and location alone would make this a must stay, but the fabulous design puts it over the top. I also wanted to mention that the staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. They also have a fantastic restaurant and lounge area!

  The staff was very friendly, and the room very comfortable. Our room had been recently redone, and also had a great view of the river. The food in the restaurant downstairs was great. The bar also offered a selection of local beers, a nice break from the usual assortment. It was nice to save the expense of the twelve dollar parking fees.

  Everyone, from the front desk employees, to the food & beverage manager went out of their way to make sure I/we were taken care of. My room was amazingly clean and completely refurbished. The pool and spa area was clean and neat.

  The hotel has free parking so we left the car parked the entire time we were there. We had a beautiful 5 minute walk to the convention center through a park and over the river, there were museams accross the street and plenty of places to eat within a few blocks. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The pool was a little cold but the hot tub was great. They do have a little express take out place in the lobby which had good salads and fresh fruit plates which were outstanding and a good vallue for the amount of fruit you get.

  The desk clerk was very friendly at that hour in the morning. It is a short walk to good dining, DeVos Place, and the Van Andel Arena.

  The paneling had been removed from the elevators. My only other minor complaint is that the indoor pool water was too warm--like hot bathwater. It certainly provides a lower-cost alternative to the pricey-er hotels in Downtown Grand Rapids.
