Much better value for a much nicer hotel.
We cannot figure out why the hotel cost so much.
The breakfast was very good and the location was good.
Dan Tel Aviv as the best location in town.
We went 2 couples to the Dan Tel Aviv, our travel agent told us that it is the most luxurious hotel and it has the best location.
In fact we asked for a check out at 7pm before we had to depart for the airport.
Bad start for $60, when a regular cab from the rank would have been half that price.
We had an executive room, with the bed facing the windows, so in the morning, you could open the curtains by electric switch & see the sea.
On our final night, we were told, very late, that no water would be available for much of the following day in our room, which meant that we would have no use of the bathroom or toilet for the hours just before we checked out for the flight.
The room was very large with a solid bed and mattress.
The first room we were given had a defective bathroom door; we were then upgraded to a "club suite" in the old building.
The rooms are OK and decent size - nice ceiling over bed.
The location of the hotel is very central with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, including an Irish bar right across the road, which is quite lively.
The breakfast was good but we were spoiled from the King David and Dan Eilat breakfasts.
The service in the restaurant at breakfast was terrible.
The hotel is on the beach with a beautiful view on the water, and it is in the middle of everything, shops, museums, restaurants and night life.
For the people that like to eat like us the breakfast was overwhelming.
The reason because we choose this hotel for many years is the excellent service and the politness of the staff.
The front desk staff wasn't very helpful and at times were downright rude.
The staff did not deliver even adequate level of service throughout our stay.
Inbal customer service manager does it from her desk for us.
The fitness and pool are just fine but also dated and a little neglected.
My duaghter loves to swim and it was very convenient that Dan Tel Aviv have an in-door pool that was opened for us in January.
The indoor pool is a good size for a city hotel, with large windows.
The rooms were clean and spacious, with no outside noise.
The room was very circa 1980's, although clean and comfortable.
