Hotel Da Aldeia Albufeira - 阿尔布费拉

The location was good right next to the strip.

Its location and close proximity to the noisy discos and bars rule it out of any future visits.

Looking for a bit of nightlife the location was perfect, id recommend you look for a pool view as we were in the centre of the strip so I recon would be a little noisy out the front of the hotel and the staff was friendly.

35 euros,so instead of getting a taxi which they could rip you off you can just ask the hotel and they will set up everything for you.

They helped us book our transfer back to the airport etc, making phone calls for us.

Our stay at the Hotel da Aldeia was comfortable, the staff were pleasant and i never felt I had to get to the pool early to get a bed for lying out as there were significant beds for everyone.

Just a clean bed/room, the bar staff were friendly.

The room was very clean, with a reasonably large sized bathroom and also quite large single beds, although they were not overly comfortable.

We were looking for a relaxing break doing not much, and we certainly had that, the hotel was fine for what we wanted, just a clean bed/room, centrally located.

Didn't eat at the hotel as we weren't up in time for breakfast and we knew a couple of restaurants in old town we liked.

Looking round this pool bar - the glasses were dirty and the breakfast was fine - the normal buffet.

We did not go down for breakfast again but went for a beautiful breakfast every morning in a Scottish Restaurant across the road "The Kilt & Kelt".

Moreover the food served in the local restaurants was excellent along.

Food wise, we had breakfast daily and it was a mixture of hot and cold (english and contential breakfast items) and all the food tasted fresh and overall I thought it was good quality.

The receptionist was miserable and not particularly helpful and so were the poolside snackbar staff.

We went back to reception to get the safe key (deposit of E15) and the remote control (deposit of E20) - all refunded on departure - again only one friendly male receptionist.

Cleaned every day during our stay, the staff were generally polite - the maid was good and the kitchen/sitting room was huge.

Overall the staff were polite/helpful, including the manager and the food/rooms etc were all above average.

The balcony overlooked the pool and garden.

However there were sound baffles over the windows which meant that there was no noise problems through the windows on the pool /garden side.

This hotel would appeal to all ages but I would recommend a pool view for those looking for a quieter holiday.

The hotel was clean and the room fine as long as you get a pool view room - as 'The Strip' is quite noisy at night.
