Crowne Plaza Hotel Astor-New Orleans - 新奥尔良

Located at the corner of Canal & Bourbon, the location of the hotel cannot be beaten.

The hotel is in a wonderful location and was close to everything.

The hotel has a great location and it was close to everything going on in the French Quarter.

8 people from the airport to this hotel was only 90.

We left and reserved another hotel near the airport immediately.

Both of our rooms had bed linen stains and one room has stains on the wall.

When we returned at the front desk, the next employee said we could have a room with a king size bed and, oh, by the way, all the hide-a-beds were already in use.

Yet again the hairdryer didn't work at all in the new room (after 2 phone calls to the front desk that were ignored I just gave up) and, this time, I found insect/rodent traps under each bed!

There is a reason why the Astor displays a room replica in the window--the centerpiece being the HEAVENLY bed.

The room was very clean and the bed was extra comfortable.

A side note: we found a great little bar/restaurant across from Margaritaville called Coops - great food at very reasonable prices and the atmosphere is fun, comfortable.

It had a breakfast menu for the restaurant so we went to the restaurant to eat.

Nice bar (excellent mojitos) and restaurant.

I had the opportunity to use the restaurant and the bar that is attached to the hotel and fronts Bourbon Street.

I can't say much about the restaurant, bar, work out room, or other amenities of the Astor Crowne Plaza, and I'm not certain it's yet fair to judge New Orleans hotels by strict standards.

Front desk staff could use some lessons on customer service.

The reception staff were rude, condesending and uninterested in customer service.

There is a (very small) rooftop pool and spa for taking a break from the afternoon heat.

Basically you pay for valet parking and you use a shuttle-just be aware and plan ahead.

Call for your car several hours before departing on Sunday or you too will pay for valet parking and then use a shuttle with no air conditioning.

Worst problem was no internet at all (not wireless or even cable!

There was no wireless connection provided by the hotel, forcing me to scan the area for weak signals that I could sporadically leech.

I did not use any services so cannot comment there, but room was very clean and comfortable.

The room was truly clean and appointed with special little extras that went beyond the call of duty.

Better places to stay in the city, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean.

Our room is surprisingly quiet, and very clean and comfortable.

The staff was friendly, our room was cleaned well once per day, and no one was knocking on our door to clean the room when we had a DND sign up.
