We stayed in seven different hotels on our recent vacation and this was easily the best value for money.
We were looking for somewhere close to my daughter's wedding location and with a full kitchen so we could prepare food for the reception.
We have stayed at this location several times and only wish that we had found it sooner.
The location was excelent as we where going to Uni at Albany to see the Giants training camp.
There is a Sunoco gas station down the road with a little store for basic needs.
Within walking distance of the hotel was a bus stop (via bus you could go to the nearby mall, to Downtown Albany, to Troy, etc.
Our suite had a king bed with a bathroom; a full kitchen including dishes and tableware, microwave, full size refrigerator and dishwasher; and living room.
For about $150/night we had a 2 bedroom suite with 1 king/2 queen beds, 2 bathrooms and a comfortable sitting area with kitchenette.
I had a single suite with a door separating the bedroom / bathroom from the living room / kitchen area.
Then, when they found a 2-bedroom and we went to it, there was a big water leak right over one of the beds, and it was just SOAKED; there were ants all over both bedrooms and the living area; and the phones were completely out.
The suite was well designed, although the living room and bedroom felt a little tight spacewise.
If you are looking for a bigger, hot breakfast you'll need to either bring it with you and cook in the room or find a nearby restaurant.
Nice evening meal and breakfast on weekdays.
One other note: there is not much in the way of food or shopping in the area, so you will probably have to drive a fair distance for a restaurant.
Continental breakfast was better than many hotels I stayed at.
The continental breakfast was extensive, and included boiled eggs.
The staff were courteous and nice although there was one individual that staffed the front desk in the evening that seemed quite slow.
My only complaint was the rudeness of 1 staff member (the evening desk clerk on the 2 nights of our stay, and yes, I am writing a comment card with his specific info and poor customer service.
Do not be fooled by a clean lobby and "nice" people at the front desk as there are severe internal staff problems.
There's a complimentary continental breakfast which is more than adequate, free internet access in the lobby and a reasonably sized outdoor pool.
A great place, reasonable rates and around 9:00 PM I discovered that the lobby had an abundance of hot beverages.
Nice evening meal, a reasonably sized outdoor pool.
A wide selection of stores and the high speed internet is the sweetest deal in town along.
The rooms have always been clean and fresh, and the welcome basket of goodies is a pleasant surprise.
The suites are spacious, well equipped and very clean and tidy.
Rooms were very clean, the breakfast was very good.
Bath was great, the kitchen did not appear very clean and the breakfast was very good.
Everyone we encountered on staff was friendly helpful and the room was sparkling clean.
