However, this hotel is awful for more than mere price gouging.
This is easily the worst hotel for its price that I have ever seen.

I found the hotel to be a good, clean, no-frills place in a central location (easy walking distance to the State Capital, North Market and other Columbus attractions).

The hotel rooms have been undergoing renovations -- the bathrooms are next, according to a flyer in my room -- so it might have improved in the last few months.

We didn't have a chance to use the pool or eat the breakfast, so unfortunately I cannot comment on those.
I had gotten a discounted rate, but the discounted rate did not include the breakfast buffet at about $6 a person, so that added another $27 onto the total.
Tthey have managed to cram a bar area in the lobby, which is in the wrong place as you have to try to widdle between the bar patrons.
I was in town for the Ohio Bar Exam with legions of other nervous law students.

They have nice new TV's, a heated indoor swimming pool & hot tub, free high speed and a fitness center.
When you enter, you shouldn't plan to bring more than a small carry-on bag or you'll have to take an elevator up one floor just to get to the main elevators.
They only have valet parking which I used and the guys were very friendly and quick.
The hotel was very clean and modern, the staff was very warm and friendly, hot tub was being repaired.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I felt very the rates were very reasonable.
