  In this first instance their service was very efficient. Our room was very good, with a small balcony, very large accomodation and a fantastic bathroom. This was a 'Gran Classe' room and is one of the largest hotel rooms I've seen. Service level is great and unobtrusive, with a cosy bar that is so dimly lit you may want to take a torch (LOL). Breakfasts are good in a buffet style, nice selections of juices etc, with an outside terrace if you like to look at the Lima fog. There are taxis available outside that are affiliated to the hotel and can be very expensive. Left of the hotel opposite Starbucks is a regular taxi rank that can save you $$$! All in all this Lima hotel was very pleasant, with good service, clean environment and also a good location right opposite the golf course.

  Some reviewers have said the rooms are tired - they should be aware that a lot of the paintings and ornaments are actually genuine antiques! They charged me $20 to go to the Shopping Mall, and my return local taxi was $6.

  Inside the rooms really need re-decorating. Our room was spacious and we had a nice view of the golf course the first time. This comment re the furnishings was also true of our second stay, in a room which overlooked the "Real" Country Club (no pun intended! We were greatly aided by Lima Tours who had arranged our trip but nonetheless the Country Club staff are exceptional.

  But the furnishings are inadequate for two people (only one chair, for example, so one of us had to sit on the bed! In booking be sure to ask for a Golf Course view so you do not have the constant noise from the pool. The hotel pool is postage stamp size and there is not much space to sit around it.

  In fact, we were waved at by security in the courtyard to move away from our window when watching (hard to resist when a wedding march is blasting from the PA). I objected to being stopped from moving about the hotel by photographers taking pictures of couples in ever conceivable location. We ended up camped in the room for lack of anywhere to sit outside.

  Firstly, we can confirm the recent comment regarding unfriendly service. The staff in the restaurant and bar were disinterested and slow, we waited a long time at breakfast before having to wave a waiter over to request coffee and tea.

  The rooms are luxurious and well-appointed, with plush furnishings and big marble bathrooms. The service is also worthy of a 5-star hotel, with helpful, smiling staff always on hand to fulfil your every need. Sitting on the shaded terrace eating a lavish breakfast on our first morning in Lima, I felt privileged to find myself in such lovely surroundings. The hotel restaurant is also highly recommended and can be described as Peruvian haute cuisine. The snacks in the bar were also tasty - they do a nice saltado.

  The rooms were large. Our room was an interior room (no window) but that was okay because it was very quiet. The staff was very helpful.

  The hotel is beautifully decorated and has excellent service. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are extra large. The only drawback, is the hotel requires a 10 minute taxi drive to the tourist area of Miraflores.

  The rooms are large and very well-appointed. A couple of quibbles: the large swimming pool/recreation area at the back is not part of the hotel but a public facility, and in fact outdoor space is severely limited - a consideration if you want to relax; and the service in the restaurant is sometimes so laid back as to be non-existent.

  Our room was huge with very nice furnishings and a luxurious bathroom. We enjoyed the hotel’s quiet pool where we could watch flock of parrots playing in the nearby palm trees. The front grounds are sumptuous and our lunch at the main restraint was excellent. The business facilities are good, and the lobby is very impressive. My only qualms are that (i) the air conditioning was not overly efficient in the room and (ii) the hotel is a bit too formal for my personal tastes. Still, I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you get a great rate (our room was $120). Although I am partial to Miraflores, this hotel is in a great location in San Isidro and much closer to the airport.

  I really enjoyed my 3 night stay in this hotel, I took a Standard room. HUGE, The king size bed was superb, it also had a sofa , work desk, big TV, and couple of nightstands plus a dresser. Very tastefully decorated, double height ceiling rooms, huge marble bath, both were cleaned and looked after to perfection. Perroqueut restaurant was superb for dinner, elegant ambiance and exquisite food, staff was very gentle, specially the Maitre.

  The only dissapointing thing was that during the last night of my stay, there was wedding reception in the hotel, the music was too loud, I could even hear it inside my room, really annoying if you have to take an early flight!
