    The problem with the hotel is that it is basically a motel that has been updated to command the prices of a much finer hotel.

    Also, the price of meals, both at the hotel and elsewhere on the island were astronomical!

    As for the price, it is comparable to other hotels on a very small island where vacation homes run in the $5M to $10M range.

    We found the hotel to be excellent but the prices to be very steep, but quickly discovered this is a theme of the island, not Coral Sands specifically.

    The beach is beautiful, and the location interesting - try the Sip-Sip cafe down the road for a meal change.

    I'm no hotel snob - I like a nice room - but I care more about the hotel's facilities and location.

    All in all, the hotel fails to capitalise on its wonderful location - it could be so much better so easily.

    The same was true for the journey from North Eleuthera airport to the water front, for the boat trip across to harbour Island (though he charged less for the children), then for the taxi journey to Coral Sands.

    The transportation was painless -- the drivers (boat, taxis, etc.

    For exemple, in the bathroom, you have your feet on the bath tub when you are in toilets.

    The cleaning staff kept the rooms clean and well supplied (even left extra rugs on the tile floor once they figured out where I had left towels as floor mats (beside the bed, for example) - very attentive!

    The rooms are spacious, but there is no TV, robes, slippers, room service or mini bar.

    The room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the view was fantastic from the balcony.

    The other room was a sitting room that had a couch that could be folded out into a bed.

    The "beach bar" and breakfast and lunch restaurant sit perched above the beach and offer very good food.

    Beach bar/restaurant is a great place to hang and have drinks, lunch, snacks.

    The food in the restaurant was not good at all - the beach bar restaurant actually had better food than the more expensive one.

    The food at the beach bar/restaurant was so-so though they ran out of cheese on a Saturday and never had any for at least 4 days.

    The hotel has been refurbished in a colonial style which really suits the building and the bar/restaurant area is fantastic.

    We found the level of service was perfect, the staff were warm and friendly but not imposing and Big Red the barman can make fantastic cocktails!

    Staff at the front desk, bar, and lunch time need to be more attentive and less put-out when asked for something.

    The staff are really friendly and aim to please, the service levels are good.

    The staff at Coral Sands was great and the service was excellent.

    My final reco for this great little hotel would be to add a gym and spa!

    Sands could differentiate themselves by building a decent gym and spa facility.

    The lobby, game room, dining room, beach bar and pool area are beautiful and comfortable in a tropical-colonial motif.

    Room - Was clean and the food was excellent.

    The bar by the beach was a nice place to slip away from the sand, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was always clean the amount of sand we trekked in.

    Staff were very welcoming, the owners were very helpful and the rooms were very clean.

    The beach was wonderful, the room we stayed in had a fabulous view of the ocean and we expected a clean hotel that was nicely appointed.

    The beach is truly awesome, harbour Island is a beautiful place and the bathrooms are clean.

      The beach is beautiful, the views are lovely in both spots and quite a cool place for a drink or too. The common area in the main building is very cozy and welcoming, the price is reasonable. The service levels are good, the rooms are spacious and the food is delicious. Pool is adequate.

      The island is great, pool area are beautiful and quality of the whole property is fabulous. Its friendly staff will make you feel right at home, service is perfunctory at best and the dining room is lovely. The restaurant is very good.

      The beach was wonderful, the room we stayed in had a fabulous view of the ocean and we expected a clean hotel that was nicely appointed. Dinner at the rock house was insanely good, the price was well worth and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The balcony was nice to sit out on, the food was surprisingly not bad.

      A great beach restaurant/bar, the community looks best from a considerable distance or on postcards and ensured that the surrounding areas were well maintained. The hotel was just beautiful and staff was lovely. Our room was very spacious and the food was excellent.

      The island is nice, the common areas are really beautiful and the hotel lobby is nicely appointed. For dinner the best options are really the Rock House and the staff is friendly. The water is amazing and drinks - at least have breakfast at a reasonable price.

      Nice beach side bar, the hotel restaurants are I would describe as high-end gourmet and service is perfunctory at best. The bedding is comfortable and the drinks at Coral Sands are delicious.

      Harbour Island is a nice and great view close to beach. The hotel is clean and the staff is indifferent at the best. The public rooms are stylish and the restaurants are lovely.

      Of good quality and the main building are enchanting. The location interesting - try the Sip-Sip cafe down the road for a meal change, beach is amazing and the prices are too high. The staff are really friendly and the rooms are big. Has washer/dryer as well as a full kitchen, clean towels you’re lucky even they are frayed and old, the food is much better.

      Lovely main plantation style building, good fun at a reasonable price and the lobby employees were always pleasant. The location was perfect and the staff at the beach was very helpful in getting chairs. The hotel was extremely charming, all service was prompt and room was serviced twice daily so we always had fresh towels. The bar was wonderful and pillows were incredibly comfortable.
