We had spoken with people staying in other hotels in the area and felt we got the best value for our money.
This hotel is a great value if you are looking for something that cost less than the chain hotels located just a few blocks away (the Marriott is about 1 1/2 blocks).
This hotel has prime location and is a great place to stay if you don't want to pay the money for a busy resort-hotel.
I recommend Angela's for dining which is a one minute walk from the hotel with great food and very reasonable prices.
It's also centrally located and easy to get around the island from its location.
The location is excellent- close to restaurants ( angel cafe for puerto rican food, Danne's for Italian), the beach ( about a block and one half), salons (pedicure/manicure), and multiple shopping venues.
Perfect location, quiet, but close to the beach, shopping, restaurants, casinos, and it felt very safe on the streets at night.
Taxi to airport $14; to Old San Juan $12.
Taxi to the airport seemed to cost about $15 + bag fees.
We had a penthouse room (one of three that share the top floor of the hotel) which featured a large bedroom, walk in closet, twin sinks in the bathroom and a very large jucuzzi tub/shower.
We had one queen bed, a desk, and a minibar in the room.
This place was clean, some of the staff were really friendly and the room had a nice king bed.
We had a Queen sized bed in our room, and found that there was ample space for our 2 suitcases.
7 nights recently ; no problems; nice room w/ king size bed - smallish, yet cozy.
This was great because even though there is a small table in the room that we could have eaten at, instead we were easily able to take our food right outside and eat at the tables set up for the breakfast.
There is also a small pool which has been built into a secluded area; a small elevator; and in the back of the main floor, a piano, a breakfast bar, and a microwave.
There is a very good Argentinian restaurant called Buenos Ayres just down the street with very tasty food and large portions at a moderate price ($18 to $25 per main dish).
The location of the hotel is perfect - we ate at 2 great restaurants on Magdalena (hotel's street): Cieto Lindo (Mexican) and Ramiros (fine dining).
It is near shops, restaurants and transportation.
Being a manager in a 4-Star Renaissance hotel in the Caribbean, I can say that I know where I'm talking about: The hotel has a small reception, with staff that is helpful, and are willing to do an extra step for you.
The friendly staff was very knowledgable about the area, the place was clean and service: People at Coral Princess Inn has provided excellent service.
The little hotel has a beautiful indoor patio, a little pool, as well as a Jacuzzi tub on the terrace, we didn’t get to use them but they looked clean and attractive under the heat of the day!
The rooftop patio with jacuzzi, pool and common areas were nicely done.
The hotel has lovely communal areas including a meeting rooms, a kitchen, sitting areas with lots of plants, a pool and a jacuzzi.
I think but am not certain, that wireless internet is available.
Apparently there is wireless but it was not working during our stay.
The rooms were clean and tidy, quite roomy, and the overhead fan was wonderfully quiet so we didn't have to use the AC.
Our rating of this hotel is not because of this upgrade but instead because of the excellent customer service afforded us during our stay and the spotless and tidy cleanliness of the rooms.
The lobby is a bit small and crowded ( especially if you arrive early and need to put your luggage down), but the room was clean and tidy!
The staff were extremely polite and helpful, the room was clean and quiet.
Staff was VERY accomodating and the room was very clean and nice.
