Convento Do Carmo Hotel Salvador - 萨尔瓦多

Is a dream hotel, a combination of location and building.

The great, breakfast, the building, swimming pool, location.

The location is right in the old town where the great restaurants are and the shopping.

One small gripe that I have is that I did not like the two twin beds pushed together, if I book a king/queen size bed, then thats what I want.

We stayed in a junior suite and the bed was huge and overlooked the pool.

I stayed in a room where the bedroom was up a few stairs and it had a small seating area.

The bed was fabulous and just walking down the halls was a treat!

The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms, while not huge, are v smart.

The building used to be a convent which is seperated in to two court yards, one of which has the pool, bar and restaurant.

Restaurant and bar staff were all excellent.

The bad, lunch at the bar, the burgers were worse than the cheapest street venders and literally 10x's the price.

The staff were really helpful, breakfast had excellent fresh fruit and other things you expect.

It is a beatiful circular area where you can cool off if you don't want to lie on loungers (surrounded by plants and trees and v close to a stylish bar).

The reception staff were also very friendly and were relatively informative.

The bathrooms are fabulous and the service was very good-Not a lot of English with the staff-but we all made due--I loved this Hotel!

Reception staff were very professional and friendly and keen to answer all our requests.

One thing that was very relaxing (but sounds quite strange) was the piped music playing in the pool courtyard.

The second courtyard contains a pool, though don't expect serious swimming - not deep enough.

They have a gym and beauty treatments and while I didn't try any of them, it seemed again, v tranquil.

Our room was beautiful, large, clean and well appointed.
