Constitution Inn Boston - 波士顿

The location in historic Charlestown is a mixed blessing, on the plus side you get to ride the nearby water shuttle into Boston with it's superb views of the city skyline - and all for $1.

It's in a fabulous location, right next to the USS Constitution.

I liked the location and free shuttle bus to TD Gardens nearby.

Apart from the Constitution and the amazing Constitution Museum, this place is somewhat inconvenient if you are hoping to spend your time by foot or subway.

Walking distance to all the sights in Charlestown, and downtown available by bus or water taxi.

They might as well been in our bed because we could hear them as if they were in the same room.

We had 2 double beds and an extra 1 person bed.

For the cost it was great for a couple on a budget as we actually had a king bed, our own bathroom and all that we would have expected from a place we would have expected to have to drive out of the city to find otherwise.

My husband and I stayed here on June 11, 2007, and the room was clean and the king-sized bed was very comfortable.

Two room choses King w/kitchenette and Dbl bed w/ kitchenette.

If you want to eat every meal out, you are a 10 minute walk to North End and all the fabulous Italian restaurants or you can take the shuttle bus to Charles Street in Beacon Hill and all the restaurants there.

Several good restaurants within walking distance and historical sites.

Is just a 20 minute walk from the city centre or you can use the boat or bus service and few places nearby to pick up a hot chocolate or a good breakfast.

We purchased a box of cerial, some plastic bowls and some milk and ate this for breakfast (there was a kitchen in our room with fridge and a small amount of cutlery).

TIP FOR LUNCH: the wharfside restaurant/tavern - its a big blue building with a stair case going up to the second floor - right on the marina near where the ferry leaves.

The staff was friendly, the maid service was good because the maid didn't disturb she was positive that the room was empty.

good as well, the staff in the lobby was very nice and the service was great.

We had a minor issue with noise in the corridor outside our room but the front desk staff dealt with it promptly at 12am.

When contacted long distance, the front desk staff was rude, hung up on caller, & when contacted again insisted that my parents had checked out.

I also used the YMCA gym (Constitution Inn is part of the Y), which was a fully-fledged gym with a huge pool.

As other reviewes have mentioned, there's a YMCA attached to the Inn and guests have access to all the Y facilities including classes and the pool.

If you don't enjoy walking, there's a free shuttle bus every 15 minutes to the T at North Station and to Charles T station.

All the staff I encountered were very pleasant and the room was clean.

The rooms were clean and modern but it's a budget hotel so if you're not expecting the Ritz, you'll find the accomodations much more than adequate.

Moreover the rooms are clean and comfortable, we liked being able to use the gym.
