Congham Hall Hotel King's Lynn - Kings Lynn

It is in a gorgeous location, it is very well presented.

The location is lovely to be fair and gardens lovely.

While we were at dinner housekeeping had turned down the bed and changed the towels and hung up the bath robes and replaced the water.

On return to our room, the turn down service had left a poem on the bed and topped up supplies in the bathroom.

The hotel only has 14 rooms and ours (room 5) was beautifully decorated.

The bed was adequately comfortable, the evening meal was excellent.

It was booked as a sunday night special, with dinner, bed & breakfast for 2 people for about £180.

Dinner in the restaurant was superb, and breakfast the next morning was equally a pleasure.

Additionally the staff were extremely attentive at all times, as for the bar well was a tiny hot stinky room and the food was so good.

Pre dinner drinks by a log fire, followed by excellent food in silver service restaurant.

There is a very comfortable lounge and also a small bar.

The food was at best average and as for the "bar" well it was a tiny hot stinky room with the slowest service ever.

When we arrived it was pouring with rain, reception made us feel very welcome, as did all the staff during our stay.

The reception rooms are great for relaxing, followed by excellent food in silver service restaurant.

Friendly service at any other hotel I have stayed at in the past and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

Easy check in and the receptionist shows you around the hotel and to your room - all part of the service.

It will be even better next year when they have added a spa to the hotel and refurbished!

There is a lovely little terrace at the back of the hotel that looks over garden and fields.

We sat on the terrace with a drink, reading and wathcing the sun go down.

Bedrooms - clean and tidy - pleanty of reading matter - no tea making facility but this was available on request - staff regularly invited us to have coffee and checked sereral times to make sure we had everything we wanted.
