Good location at 20 min from the airport and the hotel is pretty.

I booked this hotel mainly because of its location – within easy reach of the airport but not too far out of the city.

The question as always: would I go there again - yes, if I have business to do near by the location of this hotel Otherwise, e.

We had to take a taxi to the airport (booked by the hotel) as our flight was early in the morning – the journey took about ten minutes (but allow 15 – you might not get the Alonso-style driver we had!

NB: it may not be as close to the airport as some hotels, but beware, stay too close to the airport and apparently you may have trouble finding a taxi driver who is interested in taking you such a short distance.

WiFi, along with satellite TV, air conditioning (quiet and effective), large bathrooms with good showers and comfortable beds (plus a choice of pillows, according to the Confortel leaflet).

The hotel itself is very modern and has good soundproofing, and even the standard rooms have a minibar (small chiller with soft drinks and beer, included in room price and replenished daily!

The free minibar and refill service is great in the room as I've not witnessed this in any other hotel to date.

Breakfast (if not included in your room rate) costs 15 euros, and I think they serve other meals too, but we chose to eat elsewhere.

So everynight we would get some food in and enjoy the lay in.

The hotel food was not very nice and the pizza company they use also did not meet expectations.

Reasonable rates on the weekend and staff very helpful especially night porter.

We found the staff to be friendly, and we just had two fairly trivial causes for complaint - a blown lightbulb that wasn’t replaced (even when we left it out – it was just taken away!

Staff are friendly and air con work perfectly fine.

The backside: no gym, no pool and fare out of Madrid town center or even a 10-15 minute walk to the next subway.

For those without laptops (it’s primarily a business-orientated hotel – no real leisure amenities), there are two internet terminals near the lobby (no charge).

Parking at the hotel was however expensive 24Euros per day which was a slight disappointment but wireless internet was free.

New, clean, friendly polite staff, good equipment, rooms are splendid.
