Simple, large and good value rooms in a peaceful environment. Good location between all three parts of Valle Gran Rey.
Some of the fixtures and fittings were a bit old and rickety, but not really a problem as the good value outweighed this.

Apartment spacious, underfurnished perhaps. Friendly cleaner, though no option to not be disturbed. Swimming pool, though strangely designed for little more use than paddling, and unexpectedly very very cold (and 4 sun umbrollys tried b4 then found an unbroken usable one). Very quiet in the evenings if you want a night in (or dead, depending on your viewpoint). Internet available if you need (tho same tacky coin-op as the tv). Value enough if you get a half price deal. Nowhere in Valle Gran Rey very far from anywhere else, whether Vueltas, Playa, or La Calera or the other 'villages/suburbs' that make up the bottom of vgr. Fantastic view of volcanic cliffs from our apt.
Things that would have been nice for a self-catering apartment : a kettle perhaps (and coffee machine (buy your own filters) broke later), a spatula, a wooden spoon, a dishcloth, some washing up liquid (what happens to all the usable stuff people (and us) inevitably leave behind?, A hob that lit without needing matches, a fridge without broken shelving, an icecube tray, some worksurface (some rooms have we noticed; this one didn't), something bigger than a tiny paring knife, maybe a microwave in the 21st century. Some things bought so fine (and expected to!), most just make do and mend . Some salt, pepper, or oil likewise would've been nice. Somewhere to hang a dishtowel other than a cupboard knob in the way. payg coin-op telly just looked tacky and mean; nothing worth watching anyway though, just unplug it. Separate beds, even pushed together are still separate beds. Only one bedside table, only one bedside lamp (which also had to be taken through to use in the rest of the apartment). Bedsprings not particularly enjoyable; 'sofabed' worse tho. Have to open a whole window or door for any fresh air, not always an option if you're off out or there's a thunderstorming downpour. No privacy if you want to open the bedroom curtains for any daylight. Stayed in San Sebastian b4 here and with them would only have possibly mentioned the microwave out of all the above - so it can be done! Probably worth what paid, it's better than this comment makes it sound, but could certainly seriously do with some thought and some care.

Great value apartments - our room was really spacious and clean with a great view over the pool and looking out towards the sea / sunset (although not directly on the seafront). We were there for 3 nights and were out and about walking most of the time so did not use the facilities much although any contact with staff we had they were very helpful and friendly. Also, the location is ideal (within easy walking distance of port, beach area, bus station and town centre). If we were returning to Valle Gran Rey we would definetely stay there again.
The beds were not terribly comfortable and the sheets were a bit on the thin side.

Hotel in the need of renovation. Things are old and outdated. Total lack of insulation. One can hear from the car at the street to the fridge of the neighbour. The ex-libris, a tv set with a coin counter attached. If you want to see tv it costs you 1€ per hour. Hilarious!!!
