Individual guest reviews

  • Family with children

The friendliest of staff and a lovely place for relaxation. Would need a car as public transport only ran every hour. We stayed during the week and night life not to be expected near the hotel - ideal for what we wanted.

My only comment would be about the decor - especially the bathroom as in the room we were in there was a peach coloured suite - I would have expected white. I would suggest a tidy up in the bathroom and perhaps new carpeting through halls. Otherwise very clean.

The restaurant was of good standard as was the food. The evening meal was very reasonably priced and breakfast was excellrnt.

The room was rather too small to serve as a twin room (though it was compensated to an extent by the cleanliness of bedding etc and nice in touches in the provision of facilities)

we all staff very courteous, ambience pleasant ,as we entered the hotel. We were shown to our room. Meals in restaurant very nice ,we had carvery twice, and loved the tenderness of beef, turkey, gammon. really nice.Liked the way you placed your order,so not standing in a queue,as we normally experience at other carverys. Barman pleasant ,willing to please. We noted the [previous review re the decor, and yes ,it needs updating. We felt value for money spent was well worth it.We would certainly recommend, bearing in mind decor ,carpets etc, need replacing.
