There were cool & updated rooms with beer cans and bathroom, as for instance. Lots of food for breakfast, which was decent to satisfy everyone.

To the center of the beautiful city of Charleston you have to drive about 10 - 12 minutes by car. In the proximity there are comparable hotels, the QI is more than ok in terms of price and equipment.
The QI is near the highway. Depending on the location of the room, traffic noise can also be expected at night.

The only redeeming quality was the proximity to the Coliseum.
So many problems, it is hard to know where to begin. Lets start with my reservation - the hotel "lost" it, and claimed that the reason for that had something to do with Booked.net not getting them the reservations. While i was at the front desk, however, it became clear that the "problem" was not confined to Booked.net reservations, but seemed to be universal across all internet reservation sites. Thankfully i called a few days before our arrival, and was able to fix the issue so that there was a room waiting for us. I saw numerous guests who were not so lucky. My guess on this front would be that once management realized that the concerts in town were going to cause a spike in demand, they decided they wanted to be able to charge a higher price, so they double booked everything and then cancled everyone who signed up through the discount sites. We got to the room, it was a 2 full bed room instead of a king room like it was supposed to be. It smelled like mildew. The air barely worked. My wife used the restroom and we figured out the toilet was clogged. At about the same time I tried turning on the TV and found that it was not working. I reached for the phone to call down to the front desk and, surprise, the phone did not work either. After walking back to the front desk to relay my concerns with the room, I started to head back up to the room. I bumped into the maintenance guy and told him the toilet was clogged, thinking that he would be the one to come fix that problem. Instead, he handed me the plunger (covered in dried chunks of used TP from prior uses) and told me to bring it back when I was done. How's that for service? The phone never did work, but I was able to run the auto-program function on the TV to restore it to working condition on my own. The door had no weather stripping, so anything that happened within earshot of the door we could hear clear as day until I rolled up a towel to block the gap.
