All round terrible hotel and reasonable prices.
The standard of furniture and fittings was adequate although, for this category and price of hotel, we expected better.
If you have a bit of money to splurge I suggest that you stay in a newly refurbished room on the higher floors of the hotel as these are beautiful.
We did have the buffet breakfast at the hotel once, though for the price i would consider taking a walk down to one of the cafe's that is open on the strip and have breakfast down there.
In a nutshell for those who only read the first paragraph, this hotel's primary attractions are the ideal location and lovely views, but be sure to check for wind noise when you are shown to your room.
The location is Scarborough beach, meaning that there is instant access to one of the nicest beaches (which has recently been revamped with improved facilities) but still easy access by road to the attractions and bustle of Perth.
The location is fantastic and the beach is gorgeous.
Taxi fare from the airport is approx $50.
Its approx 15 minutes drive from the CBD and 35 minutes from the airport.
The room is spacious and comfortable with a king size bed, mini bar, TV, bedside tables, two chairs and coffee table.
Though the staff were efficient and the bed in my room was really really comfortable, overall the place has no atmosphere at all.
The room was hugh and the bed was the largest and most comfortable I have every selpt in.
The room was very care-worn, holes in bed-linen and stains everywhere.
We booked a bubbly bed and breakfast package including complimentary champagne, B&B and a luxury ocean view room.
Dining in the hotel restaurant was great, and we also took advantage of dining in 1 of the many restaurants located just outside of the hotel.
Lobby and restaurants are pleasing enough, breakfast and lunch being above average.
Breakfast and dinner in the Pines buffet was excellent but especially because of the two for one offers at that time and compares very well with local restaurants.
The recurring breakfast problems caused us to entirely avoid the restaurants which may or may not have been a good thing because Scarborough is seriously short on decent restaurants.
My second discussion, this time with a Duty Manager, resulted in a vast improvement at breakfast where a restaurant manager actually appeared - pity it was our last breakfast.
We found that there were too few reception staff at most times of the day and the concierge was not exactly helpful when we enquired about using one of the two internet computers for 15 minutes.
The service is exceptional, with the reception staff being polite and always smiling.
Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The pool is heated all year round as is the spa so you might want to stay in it for hours.
The pool area is pleasant enough with bar/ pool service and a spa.
The hotel pool was situated on a terrace.
The website I had booked with simply noted "internet access" was available, but when I checked on the hotel's own website it became clear that this could mean dial-up!
Rooms - clean and tidy in spite of being worn.
Probably we would not stay again and we certainly would not unless the room position was crystal clear and the staffing levels addressed.
The hotel has an old worn out atmosphere, but the rooms were clean and very spacious.
The staff were wonderful and the room was spotless upon arrival.
We found the rooms to be clean, smart and quite well appointed.
