Stayed at this hotel for two nights in the beginning of January, and it is really top value for money!
Comfortable public areas and the hotel offers high standards for a fantastic price enjoying a fabulous location.
This is a beautiful hotel and prices in Norway are very high.
We decided to pay quite a lot more to stay here than other hotels, but this was more than compensated for by the evening 'light buffet', which was in our experience actually quite substantial.
Fabulous builiding right in the Brygen World Heritage habour area of the city and a great hotel in a good location close to harbour.
Good location for city sightseeing close to bus and this is the best hotel we stayed so far in our trips in Scandinavia.
We are also happy with the location and were able to walk just about everywhere although we will take a taxi to the Hurtigruten pier.
Flybussen (the bus to the airport) stops outside of the hotel when you arrive and when you leave.
The location is great and there is an airport bus stop just in front of the hotel.
The room had a dvd-player (hidden in the desk), minibar, two chairs and a table, desk and chair, great bed, good cabinetspace for keeping clothes and stuff, a window facing "Fløyen" (east), and a well decorated bathroom with a tub.
Did not like the see-thru glass door to the bathroom being right beside my bed pillow (not much privacy if sharing a room).
In the twin bedded rooms there is no good reading light for the person in the bed nearest the bathroom door.
Only minus is the beatifully decorated glass door between the bathroom and the room - not everybody enjoys the lack of privacy (even if the toilet is hidden behind a tiled wall).
I had a delux room, and I liked how they had split the bathroom and bedroom.
The service was good, helpful and the room was nicely furnished and comfortable, food: Great - I only ate the breakfast.
However, it's nice to take advantage of these meals if you don't want to eat outside the hotel and pay outrageous Scandinavian prices in the restaurants.
Food: The breakfast is nice, a good choice you are travelling on a budget.
The design is beautiful, the lobby is modern and clean, food was boring - breakfast is better across the road in the SAS Royale.
We also were very impressed with the included meal service: good hot and cold selections for breakfast, coffee and tea service all day, afternoon waffles, and evening buffet.
The Hotel Staff was amazing and service was at all times friendly.

Lovely reception area, good quality and the staff were kind courteous.
The only moan was at one breakfast sitting, where we needed to be early (7am) to go on a trip, no staff had turned up to prepare it, so a member of reception eventually managed to cobble something together by 7.
To use the wonderful sauna/steam room/fitness center downstairs you need to walk past people eating in the dining room - the first night we wore swim suits and wrapped a towel around our shoulders.
Modern dining area, nice hotel and a free internet workstation in the lobby.
So, there'll be 4 or 5 steps to pull your luggage up to enter the lobby.
The rooms were clean, light evening snack included in the price was excellent and menus were very good.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room is super clean.

The decor was clean and modern, the public areas smart, large and comfortable, the rooms of a decent size and spotlessly clean, and the staff polite and courteous.
