The hotel is charming, a great value, for me it was money well spent.
Its a small deco hotel recently refurbished with excellent value for money.
Value: I thought $200 a night would afford a decent hotel, but the amenities were so limited, justifying that price was a bit difficult.
Other than that small issue, the hotel had everything you want at a reasonable price.
Across the street from the boardwalk & an excellent Tiki bar, great location and the hotel is located near beach.

You really do not need to rent a car there taxis and buses just steps away from the hotel.
Overall, we would certainly recommend this hotel if you're not bothered by being a bus/taxi ride from the action and you want a decent nights sleep.
While the bathrooms in the rooms could use an overhaul, they are clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bed was comfortable.
Guest Room ---- My room w/ private balcony (the only one facing the pool) was classified as a “junior” suite, but it had a large sitting room, 2 bathrooms, 2 closets and kitchenette.
We were provided a room with one queen-size bed--apparently all the king-size bed rooms were booked or under renovation.
After housekeeping had attended our rooms, we would find little black feathers in both bathrooms and on the bed linens.
The room was large with a kitchenette, thirsty towels (and plenty of them), a king-size bed, beautifully painted celestial blue walls and nice white accented leather and enameled furniture.
Beautiful lobby, old elevator, morning breakfast, not enough lounge chairs and great bar!
You can eat at the Tiki Bar there for lunch and dine at Carabas for dinner if you wish, the food is excellent.
He told me and my wife where everything was, the bar, the bistro, the beach, good restaurants etc.
LEE at the bar and also alberto at the bar and at breakfast both great guys.
Take advantage of the extra $10 a day rate that includes bar drinks from 6-8pm, breakfast, and beach towels (at the ocean).
Every staff member that I dealt with were first class people and helpful (the Bartenders, Alberto and Eric; the Concierge Raphael, the managers Lorenzo and Frank, front desk staff, etc.
The service was above anything expected From the front desk manager Lorenzo and his warm smile to Alberto and Erics Bar expertise and Raphael isa wonderful concierge who always asked how he could help.
The lobby and bar are quite nice and there is a small gym and a small pool.
Awesome decor, great price early in the week and the pool area is just as nice as the lobby.
Upon returning to the hotel, candles were lit all around the pool area and inside the Lobby.
Two color cable TVs, free highspeed wired and wireless internet.
The decor is both aestetically pleasing and functional, with tables and wireless internet available for those guests needing to do some work while they play.
And everyday when we returned from our excursion, our room was as spotless and clean as when we first arrived.
The rooms clean and circa 39 has a nice bar.
