Great people, great location, great breakfast.

The only downside is although in a good location you have to walk up a hill frm the town.

The location at the top of the hill is difficult for walking, but the BusCas (public bus) stop is right out front.

If you do go for the moto gp, you can grab a bus, but we all opted for taxis - think it was 6Euros per trip.

Our plane back home was leaving Lisbon airport at 7:30 am and we had plenty of time to make it from the train station once in Lisbon.

It was still on the same floor as the old room, the 4th, larger, but with an en-suite bathroom.

The room was clean, the bathroom was too, the breakfast was great, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel has plenty of rooms but only 5 have double beds, rest are twins!

The bathroom was okay, but the toilet moved when you sat on it.

The carpet had cigerette burns, the en-suite shower room appeared to be original, and despite double glazing the room was very noisy.

And the restaurant food (breakfast buffet) doesn't meet the average American's taste.

The reception is spotless, the bar and lounge are comfortably furnished!

The location was a short walk to the main shops/restaurants and (railway which we found very good value).

Arrival was late, but we went straight to the bar.

Breakfast is not good, the coffee should get a prize for being truly awful- better off to walk down road for 50 yards and get it in a local cafe.

Reception staff ok except for one surly male.

Hotel was very clean, the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

Yes the staff speak a little english, but you BUY yourself a phrasebook.

Again, the staff were fantastic and ready to advise you on anything!

Good pool if you like that sort of thing, but I prefer the beach.

The pool area is nice and the pool is fairly big.

We had 2 balconies, both large and over looking the large pool.

Comfortable, a little dated, but clean and the beds were comfy!

Excellent restaurants at reasonable prices, exemplary clean safe beaches easily accessed, well served by bars and very clean toilets.
