Chimo Hotel Ottawa - 渥太華

We stayed in this location as it was close to family who live in the Ottawa suburbs.

The location was excellent and we were here for a family wedding so the hotel was convenient.

Within minutes from a great movie theatre, a large shopping complex across the street and the location is quite good - near shopping centre.

It was opposite a big shopping centre and was close to the bus station.

The bus station is right across the street and its a nice journey into town.

Our room wasn't the cleanest, the toilet ran, the tap in the sink was disgusting, the bathtub wouldn't empty when you had a shower and it took 3 days for us to get them to give us sufficient towels.

The hotel was fairly clean, the good points: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and organized.

Upon arriving, our non-smoking rooms were not available and would not change our accomodations unless we agreed to pay $20 more per room.

The Good Stuff: The lobby was modern and clean, the staff were excellent and helpful, bed were old and uncomfortable.

The restaurant was expensive for the food being served.

Rooms were very clean and also the 2 restaurants had very good food.

The on-premise restaurants were terribly over-priced for the pre-fab quality of the food.

Free vouchers for breakfast and great facilities for special events.

The jacuzzi isn't kept very clean, pillows were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was delicious.

Very nice place to stay at especially you have a car, very friendly customer service reps at front desk and the TV is outdated.

The hotel itself was clean tidy and presentable, the front desk staff was very polite and helpful, our new room was nice.

I was bothered by the hotel's pool hours.

They open at 4pm til 11 and thats not very convenient for me as the pool becomes crowded by then.

You know you are in trouble when you get off the elevator on your designated floor and the hallways are not air-conditioned.

I used to stay at the Chimo years ago on a regular basis, the staff were very helpful too and our executive room was clean quiet.

The rooms were always kept clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
