Great location for a base at a value price, the hotel also has a nice 5th floor outdoor pool and the lobby is beautiful and spacious.
Very affordable price for magnificent mile area and the hotels staff were all quite friendly.
One last thing, the hotel isn't terribly expensive or anything, but if you get lucky you can get a pretty good price on Hotwire.
All in all, a great hotel for the money and location though.

It arrived on time and after checking its other pick-ups (none of whom were there) it only took 20 minutes maximum to get to the airport and was around half the cost of the taxi at $25 one way.
Getting from O'Hare airport you are better getting the mini shuttle service rather than the taxi's.
They changed our room from 2 double beds to a King bed which was nice.
We ended up a room with two double beds that was quickly swithed to a room with a king sized bed on the 16th floor with a great view.
Our room was spotless, with a comfortable king-size bed.
The rooms are extremely clean - there is cool rectangular tile and granite countertops in the bathroom, cool carpeting and contemporary decor in the bedroom.
ONE very small shampoo bottle was provided for two people in a twin-bed room.
There is a breakfast cafe, a sports bar, and a restaurant to eat, but why would you eat there when there are so many good places in the city to eat?

We ate at the restaurant 300 East for breakfast one morning and chose to have the continental breakfast, but we were really disappointed.
It doesn't look like more than a ratty bar from the street but the restaurant dowstairs is spacious, well ventilated and the menu is terrific.
The service was fine, the concierge was extremely helpful and courteous, the check-in was quick.
First of all, the staff at this hotel is more than willing to accomodate your needs and everyone on staff was friendly--from the housekeeping to the front desk!
The gym looked fantastic too, but the pool tired us out, so we didn't try it.
The rooms are clean and well-maintained and the gym is really awesome (rivals 24 hr fitness).
It was too cold to use the outdoor pool on the fifth floor yet (it was being renovated anyway) but there is a fitness center with a pool, hot tubs and workout equipment available for free use by hotel guest.
The Web site says high speed Internet is available, but I could only get intermittent wired (not wireless) access, and only in my room.
These and the lack of free wi-fi are the only downsides of staying here.
