Chewton Glen New Milton

Loved the location, in the English countryside near Christchurch and having stayed at five star hotels in various countries i have to place chewton glen up.

A truly fantastic hotel with a great location.

Lovely location, in the English countryside near Christchurch and the hotel grounds are very well maintained.

Lovely location and the hotel can arrange private transportation to Southampton pier.

The large bathroom had a wonderfull double walk-in shower cubicle; his and her hand basins; double bath and a separate room with toilet and bidet.

We were upgraded to a Gold room - it was enormous with a huge bed, sofas and chairs, mini bar, verandah onto the croquet lawn - everything you would want or need!

The bedrooms and suites and the public rooms are to a very high standard, the staff are excellent, the spa is quite stunning.

The room was decorated in traditional English decor, insincere service this was in a league of its own - so friendly and the junior suite was just exceptional.

We had a mini suite that had recently been refurbished to a very high standard, double shower, double basin bathroom with flat screen tv.

We decided we could not risk eating again in the restaurant so skipped breakfast on a day of departure but were still charged for it (?

Restaurant under-staffed, particularly at breakfast.

We had a delicious Sunday lunch in the restaurant, followed by coffee and chocolate truffles in the comfort of the lounge.

We were charged for meals we had not taken, drinks we had not drunk, hot breakfast extras we had never ordered and a lunch which should have been free with our package.

I also particularly recommend the restaurant; the service and the food and excellent.

Although the service is undoubtedly polished, food delicious and spa outstanding, it was the staff who really made it special.

I would thoroughly recommend Chewton Glen, whilst it is not cheap the sheer opulence and levels of Staff attention are exceptional, on departure the receptionist even came outside to wave goodbye!

The service and staff were as fantastic as our last stay, very attentive, but not obtrusive.

We had to check out very early the next morning due to a crisis at home - we were impressed with the night porter who arranged our very early call and delivered breakfast to us himself as the room service staff had not arrived.

We had such a fabulous time & very much enjoyed the spa, gym, hotel, golf and gardens.

Robes and slippers are provided in which you may go down to the large pool and spa.

The spa had an outdoor hot pool which was really romantic & the bubble pools were fabulous.

The Changing Rooms were extremely well equipped and very clean.

The room was lovely and big, spotlessly clean and comfortable.

A very helpful Lady that runs the place, all of the staff seemed fresh and especially the hot-tub overlooking the grounds.

I had their least expensive room, called Bronze, and it was spacious, fresh with beautiful materials, wallpaper and lighting fixtures, with a balcony overlooking the lawn.
