  Our room had a very high ceiling and skylight, plus a balcony (which we didn't use because it was cold out, but we appreciated it anyway). The room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. We had no problems at all with the front desk staff, in contrast to what others have encountered. We did get lost finding the hotel (the one drawback to its location), but we called the hotel at 1 AM (our flight had been delayed), and the friendly clerk patiently talked us through the maze of buildings at ETS. Our other interactions with staff were also pleasant.

  We thought about staying at one of the many hotels along noisy Route 1, but because of the price and woodsy location, we chose Chauncey and are so glad we did!

  So, we opened the balcany door and vant to try to clean the air of the guestroom. During midnight before slept, I went to my car to get the forgotten cell phone charger, I counted only 37 cars, most of the huge parking lots are empty.

  After a lost to trees and woods, eventually get to this place of nowhere and within lots of private roads not shown on my GPS, I was so shocked that they would not give me a non-smoking room when checked in. The front desk was politely telling me all rooms are booked and either take this smoking room or leave. As soon as I steped into the smoking room, I felt very upset, so were my wife and children. Apparently, the front desk lied to me and tricked us to stay at smoking room.

  I saw a large group the next morning drinking in the lobby and they did not give them a problem. The next morning they locked us out of the room and told us we need to be checked out at one or else we will be charge for a day. The told our friends the rate for a room is $89.

  A kid accidently threw a unopened bottle in the pool. They yelled at us and told us to watch our children, claiming the germs will infect the pool. Come on you know how many people/kids pee in the pool.

  Their rooms look brand new and are very clean. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. And it means I can sleep with the windows open without hearing car horns honking. We've already made our reservations for our next visit and I can't wait! 5-Star Experience, Picture Perfect, Delicious Food, Great Staff.

  Beautiful grounds.

  The Good: beautiful Educational Testing Service campus with a golf course-like feel, fountains, huge old trees and an extremely safe campus. If you have business or vacation in the Princeton area, the location is very convenient. The restaurant is often not open for dinner, and when it is, dinner may be limited to large groups of conference attendees.

  The rooms are a little dated, but still clean and fairly nice. You get high speed internet service and TV, like most other places. Customer service here isn't very impressive, about average to below average.

  Over the weekend, this huge place is practically deserted and hence very quiet. I had a spacious room with door to outside patio and second story skylights ; an outstandingly comfortable bed and great bathroom. The service (both restaurant and front desk) was casual and friendly, but not especially efficient or professional. Overall, it is great value for the price because of the high quality of the room and the grounds. Good value for spacious rooms and acres of grounds.

  The pool is not very inviting - small and paved all round; no shade.

  The entrance has un-lit signs for the hotel and Educational Training Service it does not look like an Hotel entrance! The staff on the desk and in-house were all friendly and extremely helpfull well beyond what could reasonably be considered their duty. The building is very well maintained, clean, bright and quiet. Full internet service and printers are provided at a number of points, and connection points are also provided in the rooms. Used the courtesy bus to the station which was freely offered (I actually had a car) and I was collected on return. The breakfast was very good, with quick but unrushed service. We would have liked a room with opening windows (available) and the air-con unit was a bit noisy but this is only a very minor criticism of an otherwise well run and located property.
