This place is conveniently located near a museum and offers a nice grassy area, with a newly furnished room containing a comfortable double bed.

The breakfast was marvellous and offered a wide range of options. The room itself was absolutely fantastic with a view and had essentials I needed.

We got great value for our money at the hotel. The room was incredibly comfortable and cozy. The location was perfect, with beautiful views of the river and town. The staff treated us with utmost kindness and provided excellent service throughout our stay.

Beautiful views, very friendly and helpful staff. There were a lot of seating areas in which to relax. The bar staff had good memories and the restaurant was lovely. Great breakfast. Rooms extremely comfortable.

Slightly difficult to find

Beautifull hotel, excellent service and comfort. Large, beautifull and cosy room, beautifull bathroom, excellent bed. Cosy saloon and bar.

The dim lightening of the room was certainly a nice and beautifull ambiance, but occasionnally a bright lightening would be usefull.

I was thrilled with my recent stay at a stunning, luxurious hotel in a fantastic location. The view over the river was absolutely wonderful, creating a beautiful backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The decor and surroundings were in perfect harmony with the age of the building, giving it a unique and charming atmosphere. The highlight of my stay was dining at the Michelin star restaurant, where the food presentation and service were nothing short of theatrical and dramatic in the most delightful way. It was truly an unforgettable culinary experience. The staff were all fantastic, attentive, and made sure that nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was the best I had during my entire trip in Portugal. Despite being a bit pricey, the hotel provided great value for money. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stylish, luxurious, and memorable experience.

this hotel/chateau is stunning. located in a small town- wine country is a 30 min drive. very peaceful. rooms were very bright and large. great food by the pool. amazing morning breakfast

we did the tasting menu at the restaurant - bit old fashioned for our tastes. they are rated- but not the best meal we had. breakfast and pool food were great. staff were very friendly and helpful. a real pleasure for us

Riverside location to the area you want to walk around. Also, easy to get to Igreja de Sao Goncalo Catholic Church. Luxurious & fairly quiet room, with a minibar, satellite TV and climate control.

Relais & Chateaux made my stay at this beautiful hotel in Amarante truly unforgettable. The upgrade to a suite with a balcony and breathtaking views of the town and river was a delightful surprise. The grandiose and venerable atmosphere of the hotel, combined with its professional and friendly staff, created a magical experience. Breakfast was delicious and the Michelin-starred restaurant was amazing. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

Confort and service (outstanding)

Beautifully located on the river in amarnte, facing the old city and its charm. Very friendly and kind staff. Very big and comfortable room and bath. Beautiful furniture and delightful atmosphere. Very good breakfast with very caring service. A kind of place that makes you feel you will be very happy to return and stay again.

The very dark color of the room walls does not do the room any good.

The parking was convenient right on the property, and my room was clean and neat. The restaurant had delicious hot dishes, and the staff was so friendly and made my experience memorable. 😊
