Extremely spacious and fantastic rooms with a shower. Bonus point for iron and ironing board, coffee/tea making facilities, and television.

generous breakfast with a great selection of hot/cold dishes. absolutely perfect location in a beautiful castle very authentic, in the peaceful area. besides, easy to get to ecluses de tuilieres.

Excellent location and extremely great and courteous staff were a definite plus. There were local supermarkets and supermarkets around the hotel.

Having booked a double room (luxury) we were disappointed to find Viennese Twins were the order of the day. Most distracting on a honeymoon!? The pricey food is definitely worth it - fabulous but why charge for breakfast (which lacked variety) when the room was so expensive? No aircon in room meant it was very warm at night....

The family and staff were delightful. Mme Renard and her daughter in law prepared wonderful meals. The location, in the small town of Moreilles, was nearby La Rochelle and other destination cities. We felt we were in the best of all world.

Location: the hotel was just next door to restaurant, and an establishment. The bathroom in our nicely furnished room was nice. The service was excellent, we felt welcome.

We had the most amazing stay at Chateau Les Merles! The stunning surroundings, including the beautiful gardens and swimming pool, made our experience truly unforgettable. We were blown away by the delicious food and the attentive service from the staff. The room was comfortable and clean, providing us with a great night's sleep. we highly recommend this hotel for a memorable getaway.

We stayed with you on our first night in France - ever - and we were rather nervous. But your relaxed and very efficient staff put us at ease. The hotel was beautiful and the surrounding vineyards were beautiful. The food was outstanding - quite superb. We were very sad that you were full 2 nights later when we tried to stay! Never mind - next time.

Convient to Bergerac airport. Nice situation. Good restaraunt and reasonably priced.

No air conditoning in room And No fridge. Access to room (10) was in the roof and hard work with cases. The Breakfast would have been poor value for money at 15 euros a head if we had had to pay for it.

Excellent service from the staff, they were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel's restaurant exceeded our expectations, the food was great and the prices were reasonable.- Convenient location for exploring the various towns of the region, making it easy for us to go on city trips and visit different attractions.

Limited dinner menu options, which became repetitive after a few days. We ended up going out for dinner a couple of times to get more variety.

The decor was fantastic throughout a clever mix of the historical features of the chateaux with modern furnishings. The pool was heaven. The food in the restaurant was excellent and offering some 'international' food E.G. thai curry or pasta carbonara was excellent as we found that rare in the region and international travellers do not necessarily want foie gras and 'carnard' continually.

The floor boards in our ensuite were very noisy when stepped on which woke my husband if I got up in the night. We thought a small bar fridge in the room would have been helpful.

The junior suite was very comfortable and we enjoyed the stay. The staff were most helpful, and we can recommend the Chateau as a memorable experience

I loved staying in this beautiful hotel that was situated just off the stunning gardens. The staff were helpful and cheerful from the moment I arrived, making me feel welcome. The location was convenient for me as I had my own transportation and could easily explore the surrounding area which offered some great places to visit. The hotel facilities were excellent, and the cleanliness was top-notch. Furthermore, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff ensured that everything was perfect.
