The staff was very helpful, very friendly and even arranged a taxi for us very early one morning for our flight out of Nice.
I did not feel that the taxi service recommended by the hotel was overpriced.
The room has a great view of the sea y picture cliffs about 500 metres high.

We were disappointed that we had to change rooms for the last night, as the Suite was booked then.
If you are going for a special occasion, you should really splurge & get a suite.
Three complaints about the Superior Room: 1) a little noisy, right over the bar, 2) the balcony view was somewhat blocked by the umbrellas over the tables at the bar, and 3) no stand-up shower in traditional French style (the Suite has two bathrooms, both with stand-up showers).
Other elements which added to this sentiment over the course of our stay included when we were forced to purchase miserly quarter bottles of water from the bar at exorbitant prices during the heat of the day (we were told not even half bottles were available), or how I was originally advised by phone that parking was free but a daily valet charge was added to the bill, or that the only room service available was the extortionate gastronomic menu from the restaurant.
We waited on the Terrace Bar and had free drinks (while they kept apologizing) and had to wait almost two hours.

The room was wonderful, the food was delicious and the personal attention by the staff - especially by the GM Stephan - was amazing.
The terrace was large and included a jacuzzi which we used often.
oh, and did I mention the veranda with the jacuzzi and the exceptional view!
