Channel Island Inn & Suites

It has large, spacious rooms (the regular room with 2 queen sized beds was the one we got).

Here, they gave us a large comfortable room with two good beds, a little mini kitchen area (sink, fridge, nuker, nice), a little eating area, lots of drawers, good cable tv, a patio, etc.

The room was affordable ($82/night including taxes and fees), clean, comfortable beds, a TV and VCR, hi speed internet.

We finally got a receipt after much fuss only to find extra charges for a roll away bed we did not use!

The part about a full breakfast is true, although we didn't eat there.

The breakfast was quite ample with hot sausages and waffles.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful but the girl doing breakfast was aloof and just sat on her back side chatting to the male workers that were in the dining area.

For the price seemed like a great deal and the staff is friendly.

Forgot to mention the mildew in the jacuzzi, and not heated pool and sauna's wood left brown stains on all our towels.

The extra stars or half a star are probably based on the free hot breakfast or the various amenities which I didn't experience, like the business center, heated pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and exercise room.

I've stayed everywhere from 5 star resorts in Evian with private elevators to the spa, to flophouses in outer Buenos Aires with mosquitoes bigger than the guests and no door on the loo so I think I have a good perspective.

The place was clean, the staff were courteous and our room was very nice.

The doors need alignment badly and are hard to open and close however the rooms were clean and the full breakfast offered cant be beat.

The room was not super modern but it was clean and everything was basically fine.
