The public areas were comfortable, we thought that this hotel was very good value for money and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
It is not luxurious, but it is great value for money as generally hotels in the UK are very expensive.
In my opinion the hotel represents great value for money.
Whilst furnishing in the room could be perhaps described as "minimalist" it was as good as (if not better) than could be expected from a hotel in that price bracket.
1) The staff were very helpful 2) plenty of carparking 3) clean 4) enough toiletries for two people 5) very good location and the setting close to the student accommodation was really lovely.
For me the best thing is location and this hotel is not very close to the center of the city.
In a central location for visiting family at University and overall a pleasant stay.
It is easy to get to the city centre by cab or bus.
Manchester Academy is only five minutes by bus - and the world famous Curry Mile in Rusholme is walkable in fifteen.
The ensuite room and bed were on the small side, but had everything you'd expect.
Some of the "standard double rooms" are really singles with a double bed which makes them very cramped.
Very comfy bed, great breakfast and an excellent choice at the price.
Fairly small room and cramped bathroom but shower was very powerful.
would not have liked to stop longer as the rooms are quite small and quiet and comfortable setting close to university accommodation blocks.
Food really good - perfect scrambled egg for breakfast.
The location was perfect and the manager of the Dining Room at breakfast time was extremely helpful in suggesting ways to get into Manchester by bus.
The grounds are amazingly kept and a stroll around and/or a visit to the lounge/bar's terrace if only to sit an enjoy the surroundings is well reccomended on a nice day.
The lounge/bar menu is perhaps slighlty limited.
Moreover the dining room was spacious and comfortable, buffet breakfast was good.
Friendly staff at reception, clean room and we enjoyed a hearty breakfast following a very good nights sleep.
Moreover the price is reasonable and attentive staff really tried to make our staff a first class experience.
Frequent buses into city centre, convenience for visiting student offspring friendly welcome and the professional attidude or the staff.
The surroundings bright and inviting, hotel staff are attentive and caring.
Also the Chancellors Hotel was lovely, staff were nice and also the food was very very good.
Free car parking in city and a very convenient hotel in a quiet location.
This makes it very reasonable and as parking is free, cheaper than staying at any hotel in the city centre.
The staff were pleasant, both rooms were very clean and comfortable, the full english breakfast was amazing.
The rooms are clean, the breakfasts are excellent and i love the gardens they are always well kept.
