The location was perfect, right near Altona train station and with easy access to shops, cafes, and restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The room was basic but comfortable, and I especially liked the wooden floor. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and I appreciated the complementary water bottle. The breakfast was amazing, with a great selection of hot and cold food, including delicious banana chips. The hotel accommodated my request for a room at the front so my son could see the ICE trains, which was the highlight of our trip. a wonderful experience.

We have stayed at Central multiple times for work and always feel comfortable. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, even with late check-ins. The breakfast is great value with superb presentation and freshness. Astrid and her colleagues make the experience even better.

I could mention a couple of positive things about the hotel. It is easy to get to the hotel from the airport. And the room meets you with cute treats and a bottle of sparkling water. Free internet in the room worked quite fine. I've got a non-smoking room as requested.

Disadvantages of the hotel are quite a few. The main things to mention are that the rooms facing the railways are quite noisy, but it should not be a big problem for a visitor from a big city. I can assume that the housekeeping in the hotel is not working perfectly as my room was not vacuumed and i've got a room with two beds, linnen on one of which was not changed! Yuck! I wouldn't want to stay in this hotel again.

Despite the previous email was not finished at 1 am staying, the room was not ready. The hotel has a reception in the entrance side, it causes confusion. Overall, the hotel is in building reconstruction, it is covered with scaffolding.

Enjoyed the Location

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just a short walk from Altona Station. Altona is a vibrant area with plenty of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants. Some parts may be a bit rough around the edges with homeless people and colorful characters, but that didn't bother me. The station complex offers convenient amenities, including late-night eateries and a cheap supermarket. One highlight was the huge Turkish restaurant just around the corner, which served delicious and affordable food. The hotel itself was comfortable and clean, with friendly and helpful staff at the connected Best Western. The room was a decent size with very comfortable beds. Being only a couple of stops away from Reeperbahn and the City Centre, the location was ideal. I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location and value for money.

The hotel was comfortable for it's affordable price. If you're looking for a hotel with minimal ancilliary facilities, this is the perfect hotel. The breakfast selection of German cold cuts, cheeses, dipping sauces, breads and muesli for €9 was a good deal too. The location if perfect because it's situated adjacent to Altona train station, where you can easily take the metropolitan S-line trains to the city centre or board the InterCity Express to another city/state.

There is nothing to dislike about the hotel. However, the hotel doesn't have free Internet access for the business people or the more Internet savvy customers. As for the more health oriented customers like myself, the hotel does not have any fitness facilities and there are no fitness centers nearby. There are also no parks nearby for me to do simple exercises. But, the room is huge enough for body weight exercises. In any case, these are not drawbacks in my opinion because it's a relatively cheap hotel with very basic facilities.

During my recent stay at Hotel Central, I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious and clean rooms. The bathroom was spotless and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was impressive. The location of the hotel was fantastic, with Altona station just a few minutes away, making it easy to explore the city. I particularly enjoyed the proximity to the Elb and the beautiful "Landungsbrücken". Although the room equipment was a little basic, it was perfectly fine for a good night's sleep. I also appreciated the moderate prices, which made it a great choice for budget-conscious travelers like myself. I had a good time and would recommend Hotel Central for its convenient location and affordability.

check in next door - no staff at hotel. it seems the hotel is used for high schools on tour creating a rather noisy atmosphere at night wouldnt recommend saying here if you are a light sleeper

The location.

Our room was very small compared with the pictures we saw on the website. It was difficult to find space to open the luggage! It was the smallest room in the corridor (as we could see when they were cleaning the other rooms) and they didn't inform us about it or make a discount.

Fantastic location with attentive staff. Comfortable beds, especially the sofa bed. Convenient for all transport links. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Amazing breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold food. Strong WiFi signal. Accommodating staff.

Reception open 24 hours, but you need to check in at the parent hotel next door. It is only a few meters away. Good clean quiet room, very handy for Altona station (overlooks it), but not affected by any serious train noise. Walkable to the Neumuhle Shipping Museum and the waterfront.
