Derek
The rooms at Central Hotel Hobart are so comfortable and cozy, it felt like a home away from home. The air-conditioning, free WiFi, and TV provided all the modern conveniences we needed. And the spacious en suite bathroom was a welcome luxury!
Personally, I found the seating area in some of the units to be a bit unnecessary. But hey, different strokes for different folks!

The rooms were spacious and well-equipped with towels and toiletries. The heating system worked perfectly, providing comfort during the cold weather. The breakfast included in the price was excellent. The female staff member was friendly and accommodating.
Felt very secure, nothing to complain about.

I found the young staff refreshing and the location excellent.
I found it a bit strange to be in a "gambling joint". However I got used to it.

The hotel's location was great, we were just a short walk away from the harbour and close to many shops, including the Cat & Fiddle Arcade. The staff were friendly and provided us with everything we needed. The room was clean and spacious and breakfast was superb.
Everything was spot on.

Straightforward facilities, great location for access to shops, attractions, etc. Nice range of TV channels.
Late night noise, up to around midnight, probably worse in rooms facing the street. Could have provided snacks/drinks in the room, as shops close pretty early in downtown Hobart.

This hotel is an incredible value for money, especially compared to other options in the area. The prices are very reasonable, making it perfect for budget travelers. The attention to detail is commendable, with little thoughtful touches like putting lemon slices in the fridge for guests. The location is excellent, right near the bustling Salamanca market in the centre of the city. The staff is incredibly friendly and the basic amenities like towels and toiletries are provided, ensuring a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet is a nice bonus, with a variety of options including cooked egg dishes.
Everything was great, no complaints at all.

Huge room. Well equiped bathroom recently redone. Very helpful staff. Great location. Great breakfast - loved the poached eggs, which were cooked perfectly.
No elevator (but staff will help with bags if you ask) No wifi. My mac computer would not connect to in-room computer hook-up. Others were having no problems, so it was probably my fussy computer. Pub behind the hotel was noisy, but it stopped by about 10 pm. Windows were open. Would probably not be a problem with window closed and ac running.

Great place to relax and gamble, because who doesn't love a smoky bar with gaming machines? Tourist attractions nearby, like the bins banging all night and the garbage trucks. Very safe with a fire extinguisher, in case things get too hot.
Everything else was just perfect for my posh lady self.

I can confidently say that this hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with a comfy bed that ensured a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The hotel's central location was a huge plus, allowing me easy access to all the attractions and the famous Salamanca Market. The breakfast, which was included in the room cost, had a great variety of options and was served quickly. The inclusion of cooked egg options made it even more satisfying.
No complaints whatsoever. Everything was perfect!

Centrally located in the city. Reasonably quite except for friday/sat nights.Parking in area a problem. Taxi rank straight out the door. 20 metres to bus exchange area.
Breakfast conditions a farce. There is a menu but you have to select only one item from menu. coffee/tea/fruit juice extra. Cooked item sufficient to start the day though.
